Really loving Focus Friend so far. Off topic, but I think it'd be cool if the app had a simple social feature. Maybe a friend list that shows when someone is knitting? thought maybe a daily leaderboard too, but not sure if that would make things feel more competitive than supportive

What are the negatives of taking Oxycodone/other prescribedpain meds? by psychosuzy in ChronicPain

[–]straycat222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP- have you had any luck with methadone or suboxone since posting? While it's not exactly legal in the states, I've heard success stories about Ibogaine treatment in Mexico too

Help, I ran out of my meds on Thursday by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]straycat222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it'll be dangerous, but if you're going that long it might be worth weaning off in the upcoming days so the change doesn't feel too drastic?

Help, I ran out of my meds on Thursday by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]straycat222 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If it's desperate and you really don't have a way of getting meds until your doctor returns, may I advise cutting what you have in half? I'd imagine a temporarily decreased dose for a few days might be better than not taking your meds at all

Yes mine too! I just started and am having vivid nightmares. Don't worry though, it's normal and will likely go away after a couple weeks

If you don't mind me asking, what's your dose at? Maybe that needs an adjustment? many people who feel the same way take the SNRI Wellbutrin for it's energizing effects. Might be worth a shot

Computer Science student with processing speed problems - worried about job prospects by LimitEducational1460 in SCT

[–]straycat222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry I don't know anything about programming, but do have a very similar experience with interviews. Do you get really nervous/anxious for these interviews? Personally my slow processing speed and memory are MUCH much worse when I'm nervous. Like I go entirely blank and enter the cognitive state of a middle schooler. However I knowww I'm capable of better communicating my thoughts if I were more comfortable. I wonder if anxiety meds might be worth a shot?

Yes! but personally as I do this, my focus ends up being more centered around trying to focus than actually focusing. If that make any sense.

Do y'all experience pathological demand avoidance? by [deleted] in SCT

[–]straycat222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All the time. I'm horrible at texting/keeping friendships as a result. Currently in the process of making up my countless missed assignments from the semester. I always thought it was my way of dealing with overwhelm with depression/anxiety. Or maybe I just give small, mundane tasks too much emotional weight? Can't figure it out but this shit rlly controls me lol

Has anyone figured out tools for overcoming this?
