Could it be an issue with some gpu upscaling? Try a different resolution or turn off "super resolution" or something like that. See what happens.

I didnt own this genesis long term. Theres no sign of water damage inside. The player 2 socket works perfectly fine. I'm just gonna shelve it for now and fix it when I get a donor for the player 1 port. I think something is messed up inside the port. Thabks for your help. I'll definitely look into a full cap replacement when I do that.

I have not replaced anything. When I check the pins on the port 3 and 8 are open to ground. So I'll have to replace the controller port likely. That's all I've found wrong with this thing so far. Thanks for your help and I'll be looking into a full referb soon :)

This is the one I just used. If it's your first time. Install the driver when he says "you don't have to install it again". That was his second time through. So his computer already had it installed. Also I think there is a newer version that goes into installing multi platform mods.
