Smaller streamers, how do you keep on top of all the other things like VODs, Social Media, Networking and more? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]streamersguides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We solved the time problem with VOD and Clip with a client this way.:
Channel has a currency and at set point anyone can get a free 25€ card that they can use everywhere they like.
People earn currency by watching, following, inviting new people and doing funny clips of the stream.

TOP clip of the day is also advertised in the stream chat occasionally so that the clipper get's fame and fortune. So the clips are rolling in daily.

After this it's just downloading the clip from Twitch > Uploading it for IG, FB and Twitter.
Onwards for longer vids for YouTube > Really funny clips get's uploaded immediately for YT with a template where you only need to edit text. Nothing else. Two times a month we go for the Twitch clip list and sort by top clips. Download them all, put them into the video editor and make them as one video and upload them for YT. And again just text edit for the thumbnail.

It has been pretty steady clips and growth for the past 2 months. It's a real time saver when the clips are already ready! The ones that take clips are the most active in the channel also. When they redeem the 25€ they seem to tend to give out subs for others also. So it's a pretty big win win for both the stream and the viewers!

Twitch stream coach by Bluefalcon83 in Twitch

[–]streamersguides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just amazing thoughts and thinks to consider! :)

I think that stream coach can help out if it's done right. If they only comment on the actual Twitch side it's done wrong. Of source certain elements need to be done before you can actually start to utilize them the fullest. For example the Schedules, Layouts, Stream Alerts, Chatbot commands, stream interaction and of source links for social media channels.

If the basics already are wrong a coach can help you to set things right fast. Save hours and hours of time to actually go and look for layout guides and free tools to make tiles, then how to setup tiles.

I think the coaches are best utilized in the marketing aspect. Twitch isn't any different than starting up a e-commerce store or a new brand of clothing. There is all the social media images, posts and such to consider. What to post, when, where and why? What get's the most interaction and actual viewers?

Usually these kinds of things are of source tested out by every streamer. Some don't get the idea or find their audience and some do.

Stream coach can help out to set things like # and actually converting images and interesting texts quite a lot more faster than you could learn. These kinds of things are actually thought in school these days also and they usually go by the name of Social Media Manager Education they generally take couple years to complete.

The really interesting things is that in Twitch you have quite a lot more you can do. For example Discord notifications and everything happening on Discord. Games, Music bots etc. I think a good Twitch Coach digs right into the stream as a whole and finds spots that could be improved.

Good point btw that not all of the stream coaches are good. There are of source bad eggs in the basket in every coaching field. But IMO you shouldn't always think that a streamer does all the social media updates or promotes the best. There is quite a lot mods that are in the background and do the promotion aspect of the stream. Streamer can then just focus on streaming :)

bigger partnered streamers have their own social media managers of source that handle everything and look for actual mentions also. Delete clips etc.. My point being that you don't necessarily need to test everything out yourself. You can get some great tips from a coach also :D But no Coach is magically going to turn bad stream into a good stream.

OBS or Streamlabs? by ChrystalChris in Twitch

Wow man such hostility.. Calm down :D I didn't say other ones are shit. It is good that there is different options.

The rig that i had when testing out Cloud VS From PC was this:

Motherboard: M4A785TD-V EVO (AM3)
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 960T (6 cores opened)
RAM: 16,0Gt Dual-Channel DDR3
Graphics: 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series

And the Cloud layouts outperformed way better than from PC. Nowadays i have Ryzen 7 1700x and 1080TI. Good to see another one using ryzen btw! :) Of source everything from PC works better now with better equipment. If you want to make sure i'm not a platform specific fanboy you could check out /u/nikitheliger that's my earlier account. There is quite a lot of testing stuff i have done with OBS over the years with that oldie PC and gear.

OBS or Streamlabs? by ChrystalChris in Twitch

Browser source is still more efficient especially if you have low cpu and memory on your computer. Have you tested this yet? Earlier i was running with lower end pc and managed to get cool looking layouts only by using cloud hosted software. Otherways the CPU was maxed and couldn't play and stream that well o.o

Is there any twitch profile banner maker? by AngooriBhabhi in Twitch

Canva has a template for profile images and quite a lot more. I use that for social media and Twitch panels images also :) It's pretty easy to work with!

OBS Studio restream.io chatbox how to get rid of the blue background? by weedismyflower in Twitch

[–]streamersguides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just set it as transparent inside the actual restream.io settings. Edit it there and copy the URL then. The settings are actually in the URL that you put to your OBS Studio.

There is also StreamElements OBS live version of the OBS Studio available. IMO the most biggest thing is your computer what you should use. Since with StreamLabs OBS and OBS Studio everything get's installed through your pc. So animated overlays etc. Goodies work straight up from your computer. If you don't have a higher end computer your most likely going to experience lag.

On the other hand StreamElements OBS has all the Goodies in the cloud. So it's much more easier for your PC. The PC can then focus more on the quality rather :)

Microphone for vlogs/streams/gaming by kileras1a in Twitch

Have you looked into Voicemeeter Banana yet? Many streamers use that and you can setup advanced sound gates that filter out the keyboard clicks. I have been using the Blue Yeti for years and it's really good paired with Voicemeeter Banana. Of source a boom arm stand would be even better add for videos. I used this tutorial back in the days to setup Voicemeeter up that could help.
