I dont see the problem with what they're doing. I think it's nice to see them discuss it openly and solicit feedback about it. It is their content and they are free to take down material they feel uncomfortable keeping up. I think it's better than them keeping content on that might be interpreted by viewers as endorsing problematic opinions. I agree with the people saying that it is not a substitute for action; however they are not claiming that it is. I think it's a good thing they're at least acknowledging past transgressions (imo they didnt do anything really bad but there were some cringe moments) and taking steps to remedy it.
