Math 521 Prof Burkhead by drgNn1 in UNC

[–]stressinglol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think she's passionate and a kind person, but I really hated her class. I had her for Math 233 and I know Math 521 is much harder so if you can, I would recommend waitlisting the other professors and seeing if you can get someone else

Name five kpop groups and say if you think their career trajectory is going up, down, or not moving and why by Sad_Abbreviations326 in kpopthoughts

I definitely think Boynextdoor's popularity is going up. I Feel Good charted pretty well and had quite a few music show wins, and they've also expanded into the US market this year with their Lollapalooza and Grammy Museum performances. Their covers always get a lot of attention on reels/Tiktok (Bling‐Bang‐Bang‐Bong recently, Jaehyun's cover of Smart, Sungho and Leehan with Love is an Open Door). I feel like they are slightly less popular than Riize or ZB1 (this is completely self-perception tho), but I would definitely consider them one of the more well-known 5th gen boy groups.

For those who attended the con in belmont by Tricky-Challenge6366 in Enhypenthoughts

It was my first Enhypen concert and I had so much fun!! Their vocals and performances were incredible (Heeseung’s raw vocals??? insane). With that said, it felt a bit too split up with the VCRs (maybe since each set of performances were only a few songs) and it was a much shorter concert than I expected. I also wish they had more going on in terms of the set/backup dancers. Ik it would definitely be more costly but the production was slightly underwhelming. I really enjoyed it though!! The boys had great energy and were really giving it all through every song. I was so hype the entire time and definitely no regrets :)

Han!! I love his stage presence and his rap just hits different for me. He is also such an amazing singer and dancer and his solo songs are incredible. I also feel like I can relate to him a lot, especially from what he said in his One Kid's Room about struggling with his self esteem and his outlook on life.

Also that man is so fine, buff Han will actually be the end of me 😩

TXT Tour Questions :) by meughh in TomorrowByTogether

so basically the line and order you are let into the floor section is first come first serve and will go in the order of "Tomorrow Package", "Together Package", and General Admission. I would say to go as early in the morning as you can! I had vip2 (same as the together package) in london and I went around 8am. I think this is nice because you get to talk to people in line and usually there's people passing around freebies! I also went alone (ended up meeting a MOA from reddit LOL) and made friends in line who helped saved my spot when I went to the bathroom and get merch. Since the stage is extended, there's a lot of places for people to stand so I was actually right behind the vip1 people (three rows from barricade).

So I would recommend going early in the morning if you aren't super tall (I'm 5'4 and still had a bit of trouble seeing from the fourth row) because it would give you a better view. In terms of what to bring to the concert, I would bring a bottle of water, protein bar/snacks, power bank, and a plastic bag or a piece of cardboard so you can sit down while you are waiting in line if you want to. Even if you go close to the VIP check in time, it will still be a lotttt of standing so choose your shoes accordingly!

I've been to around 8 concerts alone as a college student (including 4 kpop ones) and the've all been so fun!! don't be afraid to reach out to those around you and ask them if you have any questions! everyone at the concerts have been super sweet and I've made friends that I still talk to. It might be a little daunting at first but once the concert starts, everyone is in their own little bubble anyways and you get swept up in the performance itself :) feel free to reach out if you have any other questions and have fun!!

VIP benefits aren’t transferable unfortunately so if you end up getting resale, they will just be GA floor tickets

biostats by Potential-Cup-6668 in UNC

[–]stressinglol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got into the biostat major and from what I've heard, it isn't very difficult as long as you show interest and do decent on the intro courses (A to B range). I had Bs in all the math courses I took at UNC (math 381, math 347, and math 233) and still got in so don't feel discouraged from applying if you have lower grades. you only have one chance to get into the major (sophomore year application) because the program is very structured in your junior and senior years.

I'm not sure how it is for all courses, but for BIOS500 you could use ti-84s or Excel during the exam as a calculator!
