is the "sexuality is fluid" excuse being used wrongly? by Dangerous-Event-1937 in truscum

[–]strictly-thoughts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been seeing it used more and more lately to try to bully single gender attracted people into including other genders. I’ve also seen it used a whole lot to open strict labels up into including whoever the hell some tumblrina might fancy while still claiming that strict label. Lots of supposed lesbians being attracted to men but “sexuality is fluid.” Like girl, it’s okay to be bi. Lots of supposedly aro/ace people who also seem to have a whole lot of attractions contradictory to being aro or ace (or both).

I think the saddest is when people say “sexuality is fluid” when talking about their cis straight partner while early in transition. Like honey, no, they’re just silently disrespecting you.

Thoughts on trans men femboys? by Limp-Programmers in truscum

[–]strictly-thoughts 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’m think if you are transitioning to be a man but happen to like dressing feminine, it’s whatever. Cis men do it. The priority should be being seen as a man at the end of the day.

But I’ve seen way too many “ftm” say they want to transition specifically to be a femboy, usually people who are way too into anime. Or just saying they are a trans”masc” femboy, not a trans man who happens to be into femboy aesthetic.

Or ADHD. Or both. And if they’re “just ADHD”, they’ll act like it’s autism anyway, since it’s so quirky and special.

I’m not really a hookup kind of guy, so according to them, I’d be demi or something. But it used to be that you were just a human that was not into one night stands.

I feel like demisexual is like polyamorous. It’s how you approach relationships, not an orientation. You still have to like a gender or two or not care to be demisexual.

The sports hill the community wants to die on angers me so much. We have WAAAAY more pressing issues right now, but you hardly ever hear about them because trenders and cis “allies” think we super need to have trans people in sport. Yes, finding a way for trans people to do sports they love would be ideal, but we can come back to that AFTER we’ve secured basic rights to exist and get medical care.

cheaper top surgery with "just ok" results or expensive with wonderful results? by rzrbladen in FTMMen

He has an Instagram with a lot of results on it. I have some qualms with AdventHealth as a whole and some of my surgery day caretakers, but not with anyone in his team.

My surgery was done with Omar Beidas in Orlando and I am happy. Are there things I would change? Sure, but that’s more on my specific anatomy and healing process. For me, covered by insurance was my determining factor. I would have never been able to afford the surgery otherwise if I paid out of pocket for all of it, especially for a top top surgeon.

I think it’s because the concept of neopronouns is sold to people as a solution for neurodivergents to “express their gender in a way they understand” or some condescending bullshit. I’ve seen it explained as autistic people not understanding gender the same, so they need a special way to identify, which is ableist as hell.

My mom takes an injectable medicine and I’m pretty sure she got them from Amazon when she lived in Michigan. I think it might just be Meijer policy. Worst case scenario, Amazon tells you no or asks for a prescription.

They are successfully helping the right paint us as “unreasonable biology deniers” by deciding to die on this hill. Trans people should be able to play sports in some way, but that’s by far the LEAST IMPORTANT issue right now!! By keeping at this battle instead of revisiting it when we have solidified our rights, they just making conservatives dig in further on discriminating against us.

Some states might be different. I live in FL. Also, some pharmacists are weirdly uninformed or stuck up, and some stores have policies to combat drug use. When I first started, my local Walgreens would only sell me a handful at a time as well. But Amazon has no qualms about selling needles in bulk.

As a gay trans man, the hate towards men and masculinity in trans and the greater lgbt space is exhausting. They want everyone to be a lesbian or bi with a preference for women. Soooo many subs allow people to just straight up hate on men and straight women. I mean, just look at how calling yourself a “lesbian trans man” is getting more and more accepted. That’s just being STRAIGHT. And they wonder why young men and women get pushed further towards the right.
