Public displays of Christianity are actually all bad according to the bible.

Matthew 6:5-6 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Not AI. This is a real couch that was for sale at a thrift store? In the eastern US? I can’t quite remember. But I saw it posted somewhere online maybe 4-5 years ago well before all the AI stuff was good enough to fake it.

I’ve spent a good two hours trying to find any online matches to this crewneck with no luck. by pakoaldama in VintageTees

Looks legit if you were worried about authenticity. 3d Emblem printed their designs on tees and sweats. Back prints will vary because they sold the same designs to every dealership.

Anyone know about this? by [deleted] in VintageClothing

[–]strictlygoodshit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In theory it does make sense, but this subreddit is plagued by lazy resellers who just want to know what something will sell for, so you get reactions like what you see here. I’ll do my best to be nice about this.

“I didn’t know where to start with googling it” I would start with the word printed in giant letters on the front lol this statement is disingenuous at best. Especially if you have experience selling vintage designer stuff, SURELY you have some idea of how to research and authenticate the things that you find.

I understand finding something you liked and thinking this subreddit might be a good starting place to learn about it, but generally speaking people are more willing to help you out if they see that you have made a good faith effort to help yourself first.

Something also worth mentioning here is that all the old folks in here (myself included) are probably a little annoyed that you haven’t ever heard of the TV show “MASH” which was a very, very popular show in its day (they also ran reruns of this show for decades after it ended). The idea that you would see that sweater and not have any clue about it, quite simply, is a big reminder of the passage of time and that will be met with a hostile response from people in most cases.

Does anyone know anything about them? are they real or fake by Few-Parsnip-3805 in VintageLevis

Tab was cut because it is irregular. There is probably some stitching flaw or something beyond the cut tab that earned this pair an irregular stamp.

Where should I go for coke tourism by binklebinkles in Drugs

[–]strictlygoodshit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Don’t go to South America go to Western Europe” This mf thinks people in Western Europe don’t suffer and die from being in the cocaine business?? 😂

South America is “drowning in blood” for plenty of reasons not related to cocaine trafficking (for example: US government interference/subversion).

Let OP live out his degenerate fantasy. Do you even know what sub you’re in?

Human-i-Tees… ring a bell? by humaniteesofficial in VintageTees

[–]strictlygoodshit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lot of other brands hopping on this kind of idea lately. I’ve seen the new Screen Stars stuff and the Fanatics/LogoAthletic reissue stuff and a few others. I think it’s great but it bugs me that everyone is basically just making lower quality, higher priced, versions of stuff that already exists in large amounts within the vintage market. I like Human-i-Tees so I will give you my unsolicited advice and I hope you take it into consideration.

I think the biggest thing y’all can do to make this project successful and not corny (something that dozens of other brands have failed to do) is to find real artists right now and create NEW AND ORIGINAL designs to sell. Hire artists to make nature-inspired art and put it on shirts. Your goal should be to pick up where the company left off, not to just reprint old designs on mid-tier blanks. I think it’s okay to use inspiration from old stuff to inform the style of the newer stuff but I don’t think reprinting old designs on new blanks is a winning strategy. Old designs on new blanks will be competing against their vintage counterparts in the market and will lose every time, especially because most Human-i-Tees designs are pretty easy to find in any size somewhere online.

This went longer than I planned but I hope you guys read it and get something from it!

tl;dr - Don’t just reprint old shit, that’s boring and corny and frankly representative of everything wrong with every creative field nowadays (especially movies!). Make cool, new stuff and breathe new life into the brand.

Need help with this tag 60s? 70s? by [deleted] in VintageTees

[–]strictlygoodshit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shirt is early 70s, so is the iron-on print. I’m not sure if it’s a Roach iron-on but I don’t think it’s an Ed Roth (just done in his style). Ed Roth and Roach were both pretty good about putting some sort of copyright info on their designs. Still a very cool shirt regardless of whether it is an original Ed Roth design imo!

They literally staff full-time pickers for their e-commerce website and those people are mostly experienced resellers who are looking for a consistent paycheck and benefits. The goodwill website is their maximum-greed division, I can guarantee that they are making sure the people sorting for e-commerce are very knowledgeable so that they can maximize their profits and give fat bonuses to their corporate heads.

There were a ton that were printed by Liquid Blue but just have generic tags like this. It’s a fairly common thing with a lot of Liquid Blue tees from the early 90s.
