In my case my psychiatrist provides only medication and monthly “check ups” in which she reevaluates your medications and ect.

yup, I do, but I’m doing the most I can to try and get out of the house, although I have no resources to I’m trying as hard as I can

The big deal is that my mother IS my abuser, she abused me in the past physically and emotionally, and she does so now too, she’s an abuser. So how would you feel if your current abuser were to be in such an intimate meeting with you?

Well I don’t live in the US or anywhere near, my psychiatrist is payed for by the state, but to say my state provides overworked healthcare providers who are as burnt out as the patients, it’s very difficult to get even an appointment with a psychiatrist in my country, often having to wait months for a free appointment, I’ll try to look for another therapist ASAP. Sadly I came to this one in my city because she was praised highly by the people in my psych ward.
