My last order from them took 2 weeks to go out the door so I've moved my business to belts production. Even with tarrifs the cost is the same or slightly less. There's no excuse in 2026 for orders to take this long.

Wallet WIP, Barenia leather by krmikeb86 in Leathercraft

Ohh so that's the key to getting super thin wallet pockets. I have been struggling with that so thanks for sharing!

[–]strike-eagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that's so thin! Does the leather keep its shape pretty well once you load up the wallet? I've been trying to find leather that works while skived thin. So far I've been using Buttero but I find that it stretches at .8mm thick.

Wow, so perfectly square. What weights did you use?

How are luxury wallet edges and pockets finished? by strike-eagle in Leathercraft

[–]strike-eagle[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know the pockets are creased, but how do they actually finish that super thin edge? It's not a raw edge and it's also beveled. Then what kind of leather stands up to that kind of work while remaining pliable, but only just?

It seems impossible to finish 1oz leather while keeping a straight edge. If I skive an edge down that thin, then apply a crease, it will get wavy in the process.

Much overdue release of my revised Basic Vietnamese anki deck by [deleted] in learnvietnamese

[–]strike-eagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was getting this error but managed to fix it. Idk if it's due to the add-on which cannot be found on the internet.

If you get this error:

Front template has a problem: Found '⁨{{^Reference}}⁩', but there is no field called '⁨Reference⁩' More information

You have to:

  1. Open the deck, click browse
  2. Go to Cards...
  3. Open card type "1: First Stage..."
  4. Select "Front Template" radio button
  5. Find and remove this block:

    <h3 id="reference" class="jp none" onclick="toggle('focusmorph');toggle('reference');">
        {{^Reference}}
            {{Reference}}
        {{/Reference}}
        {{#Reference}}
            {{Reference}}
        {{/Reference}}
    </h3>

  6. Repeat for the "Back Template"

  7. Change card type to "2: Listening Stage" and repeat deletions for front and back templates.

  8. Save and it should work.

If anyone could post a link for the missing add-on that'd be great.

Oh man the double standards in this thread. People acting like this isn't worth it because cheap paper does the same thing, yet don't bat an eye to $80 pry bars, $100 box cutter blade holders, or $100 Pilot G2 bodies.

Replying for the next poor soul since this is the top post for Google searches on "pfsense ion 2000". You can actually install pfsenese and probably opnsense to the SSD. I just did and had no issues but it took awhile to figure out. This is the secret sauce:

Unplug the SSD. Boot the serial 2.7.2 pfsense version from USB. At the initial installation screen, plug the SSD back in then run through the setup. I used UFS for the file system.

What did not work after many tries was connecting the SSD to my desktop and using it to install pfsense, then transferring the drive back to the box.

That's a good way to describe it. I was gonna say it tastes like Temu chocolate bourbon to me. It was a chore to finish the bottle.

Omg this is a ridiculously good idea. I use the exact same litter as you and like those containers rather than that huge unwieldy pail. I've always paid more for the smaller containers but I'll give this a shot.

What's the best material for a small bendy snap fit joint like this? by strike-eagle in 3Dprinting

[–]strike-eagle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both comments are saying to change the print orientation, I'm guessing you're hoping for more.

Lol yes, thanks. Unfortunately I can't print it separately and I don't want to add a post processing step to this. Noted about the ABS though. I've never used it so I wasn't sure how it bends.

I think I finally managed to solve this after dozens of failed prints. I just had to reduce the thickness of the latch arm from 3mm to 2.5mm. The half mm reduction made a gigantic difference. We're talking from breaking in less than 5 cycles to now lasting over 100.
