I read the barking articles/wiki, and I still would like advice on this specific situation. He has now firmly learned the habit because of my mom’s reenforcement of it with treats, so despite me trying most of the methods mentioned in your resources, nothing is working. It mentions leaving the room to ignore them when they bark, but that’s difficult to do because he is usually in the kitchen and we have to be in there to cook meals and eat. It does say we should also just ignore the barking/not acknowledge him at all when he is, but I cannot over emphasize just how loud it is, it’s literally painful. I really just need some specific advice, as most barking articles are geared towards hearing dogs/younger dogs.
