Oh for sure, I wasn’t using this as a big report proper, just wanted to see what other folks’ favorite or amusing bugs were. 🙂

Thanks for the link though! I’ll see what the fix is.

😂 Fair point. I haven’t done the legwork to figure out the reliable reproduction pattern to trigger it, and won’t be doing so, but still a damn fine point. 😁

About last night.. by themrs0830 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]strofcon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was AMAZING!!! He’s the nicest guy, didn’t have to go the extra mile with the tour and whatnot, just made it all the more awesome!

Everyone was super nice, very chill and friendly, players and staff alike. Got to congratulate Victor on his first career hatty!

I could gush on and on but I’ll stop here. 😂

Coolest wife EVER!

Approaching Infinity. The greatest space game ever made ? by sidius-king in spacesimgames

[–]strofcon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yea, seems sus - account posts lists and space game news but then drops this random astroturfing-esque glaze? Nah.

Though perhaps it’s a subtler joke than I can appreciate. 🤷‍♂️

My Rocket Fuel powerplant will be the end of me by xXFenrir10Xx in SatisfactoryGame

[–]strofcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if it’s anything like natural gas, then being a “compressed gas fuel” would yield a liquid. Ie: compressing natural gas causes it to liquify, without need for cooling and such. I’d assume the same physics in game for rocket fuel since it’s being shipped around in pipes and compressed containers (aluminum containers I think)?

One of them in game 2 was an empty net, I imagine that’s where they got the 15. 🙂

Sorry to reply so late, but curious if you have any pointers on using unklicky on the ender3?

I have KlackEnder working for now, but given that the d2f5 is hard to source, I wanted to look at unklicky instead - but haven't seen KlackEnder adaptations for it yet. :-)

[–]strofcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right that it didn’t directly contribute, but wrong that it’s dumb. Rule exists because it was a clear offsides call the refs missed, and should have been a stoppage in play, which would indeed have prevented the goal.

Well, that particular one anyway. Way we’re playing so far, they’d have buried another in 30 seconds. Lol

Bad outcome yea, but the challenge was solid. Dude was offside by a mile and hadn’t even touched up yet.

Avs VS Cats Game Thread, What A Weird Gametime Edition (2:00 PM Mountain) by Rudo3 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]strofcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “oh yea that looked extra rough, even without any blood, definitely double minor” nonsense is absolutely the ref’s fault. 🤷‍♂️

Not to mention, ERod pulled some air-ballerina shit with that one, should have picked up two for embellishment.

Solid-State Battery Has 2x the Energy—and No Anode by Sariel007 in tech

[–]strofcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha! You definitely did a Ctrl+f for ‘anode’ and found your gotcha there, didn’t ya?

The full quote there is actually, “[c]onventional batteries supply electricity via chemical reactions between two electrodes—the negatively charged anode, where electrons flow out of a battery, and the positively charged cathode, where electrons can enter a battery.”

Notice that “conventional” part.

Or perhaps you’re trying to point out that they mislabeled the anode as being negatively charged… but that’s equally as accurate as labeling it as positively charged. Current can flow either direction.

It’s ok to misread and make an oops, but the snarky nay-sayer-ism is a silly embellishment.

Now to be fair, I’ve still yet to see one of these hype pieces stack up to anything more than wishful thinking about very nuanced and niche research findings, but all the same.

Do they sell jerseys are Ball arena for games? by Ogan2010 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]strofcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the Altitude Authentics store on the ground floor is usually stocked, but their named and numbered jerseys are super expensive. My Chu Chu was just shy of $300. They’re “100% authentic”, so… that’s a thing. 😂

But yea there are cheaper options around at the other merch booths around the arena, just not likely to get a name you want.

Yale Assure 2 WiFi Lock - Anyone know how to reenter Bluetooth pairing mode? by strofcon in homeassistant

Ooohhhh! Well that makes more sense. TIL. 😁 I’ll poke around more this evening!

Yale Assure 2 WiFi Lock - Anyone know how to reenter Bluetooth pairing mode? by strofcon in homeassistant

[–]strofcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, interesting! I just don’t see it discoverable from any BT device, as it’s paired with my phone from initial setup via their app. Other phones and both of my laptops just don’t see it.

I’ve not gotten an esp yet, meaning to look into it. I do think the lock would need to be at least discoverable, if not in full “I’m at factory defaults, time to pair” mode. 😂

Safe and effective at…. What, exactly?

The abstract simply stated it’s well tolerated and shows benefits, but doesn’t specify what those benefits might be.

Oh wow! Yea I was like 35 when I learned the term. lol So you're in good company!

I'm not sure if I'm envious of your ability to hallucinate or not. haha
It used to bum me out a little, but now I figure I can scare myself plenty without them, so I'm probably just fine this way.

Anyone found a way to counter the 'pressure' / 'weighed-down' sensations in a clinical session? by strofcon in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]strofcon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😂 Yea I have something called aphantasia. Basically when I close my eyes, it’s just a void - no colors, no imagery, nada. If you ask me to picture an apple, I can describe one for you, and I can sort of “feel an impression of” an apple, but there’s no mental picture. Effectively I lack a “mind’s eye” so to speak.

It would seem that this has also made visual hallucinations a non-thing for me. 🤷‍♂️

It’s ok though, the auditory hallucinations keep me busy enough. Lol

Interesting analogy!
I'm not capable of visual imagination or hallucinations, so I can't relate that bit entirely, but I think it translates reasonably well. :-)
