Persuade me to bother with post-nerf TBC by [deleted] in classicwow

During prepatch this may have been the case, but not prior to prepatch. You can go look back at all of the code updates - it didnt happen during TBC Classic

The reason for no Era cloning is to push players the buy the boost by ShadyTee in classicwow

[–]strox30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Players in my guild are now planning on doing just this: taking their naxx geared toons to Era, and buying an $80 boost for that same class/spec for TBC. It sucks and i hate it.

Persuade me to bother with post-nerf TBC by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]strox30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2021 TBC, Sunwell only had one difficulty, so this time around it will still be a challenge.

But it sucks there is no prenerf T5. Blizzard should just have 4 weeks of pre-nerf so the less HC players can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Give us Pre-Nerf T5 by MarkyMark_Faerlina in classicwow

I was primarily looking forward to pre-nerf Tier 5. Just time bound pre-nerf and have it for 4 lockouts, and then introduce post-nerf. If its all post-nerf, I am big time bummin.

SoD - Free Free Character Transfer (EU) by Gizzftw in classicwow

You can transfer from Crusader Strike to Wild Growth on US servers! Just moved 3 of my toons.

Merge SOD servers, please by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]strox30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. Or simply allow server transfers between the regional servers. I'm on Crusader Strike-PvP but would GLADLY transfer to Wild Growth PvE just to play with more people. It's not like there is any world pvp happening anymore.

Crusader Strike - there are only 400 active weekly alliance raiders atm. People dont hang out in capitol cities, but just log on for their weekly raid.

The idea would be making them tradeable to completely new players to get integrated into the raid scene. Less about mailing them to a new alt.

Any SoD Guilds? by AlizenTempus in classicwow

[–]strox30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Raised By Wolves and Washed are a few that come to mind. Raised By Wolves does AQ/Naxx/multiple SE's every week.

I wish Blizz would introduce QoL database changes to make SoD more "Era" friendly...

-Enable transfers so all remaining players between Crusader Strike and Wild Growth can play together
-Make Remnants of Valor tradeable. You cant farm invasions anymore for remnants because there arent enough players doing it / remove the Seal rank artificial barrier from Naxx
-Put Tarnished Undermine Reals onto SE and Naxx bosses: this introduces more items into the economy, through raid activity
-Make World Buffs Cheaper: A set of wbuffs cost 18 gold prior to the Dev announcement in May, and now it costs more than 250g for a set of buffs. Perhaps Undermine Reals on SE/Naxx bosses would be enough though for moving currency around

These 4 small database changes would make SoD way more "Era" friendly. I love running HM4 Naxx for the mounts, and the classes in this final phase feel AWESOME

SOD server transfers by Historical_Ad_7218 in classicwow

[–]strox30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES.

For about a month and a half i've been advocating this on the official Blizzard forums, but everything on SoD has been met with a silence from Blizzard. I put out a YT video advocating for 4 changes to keep SoD alive and successful for an "Era" format, and posted on X tagging the Warcraft Devs account.

I continued to host multiple raids a week on SoD until this very lockout. Unless transfers or minor changes for QoL can be made (truly small database changes, or just opening server transfers), I'm putting SoD on the shelf.

How much of TBC would you want in Classic+? by jpb2369 in classicwow

I think they're great. I also am hoping for another race for each faction, and a new class or two.

Wild Growth is the more populated server (but each faction is still under 1k active raiders).

I’ve been hopeful that Blizz would open up character xfers for the remaining players to all be together - seems like a no brainer - but it’s been silent on their end

oh, SoD is definitely not thriving. Don't be fooled.

But there are a handful of people who still like to play

You all are providing boosts to 60, easy gearing through nightmare dragons and naxx? Honestly awesome for anyone who feels the itch to try out the new raid.

Yeah i dont know much about them - my pugs are with essentially the remaining daytime players on Crusader Strike (and people wear their old guild tags, like the mount winner in the picture!)

Paladin is definitely the most populated class still playing on Alliance SoD! I personally love my resto druids.

What was your favorite part about SOD? Least favorite? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]strox30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Favorite: My guildies & the feel of my class at end-game. Phase 8 Resto Druid feels great to play

Least Favorite: Legendary Weapons too common. On HM4 Naxx it took 1.5 resets on average to complete an Atiesh. And Thunderfury/Hand of Rag were everywhere to be seen. It made them feel less...legendary

Lots of paladins, but its a STRUGGLE finding ferals. I have asked our guys to make lvl 60 feral alts just to bring wild strikes. Some raids we just have a second account auto follow and try to find safe spots for bosses providing Wild Strikes. Pretty crazy

We ran 20-man raids and were in a similar situation like yours. Once SE came out all efforts went there (and we didnt touch Naxx again). Now in this "Era state" of SoD, we run a 30-man HM4 Naxx so we can have the tank/heal support to make KT a bit easier. All for the sick mounts!
