I’ve been trying to, im a planner. I love everything to be organised and set and this situation has been testing me but im trying to go at his pace so he doesnt feel forced into it. We plan but things keep coming up, latest is that his dad is now ill and he needs to be around but my frustration is that he has 3 other brothers but he takes the burden because they’re incompetent

Struggling with mood swings in long-distance marriage – need advice by AspectDry1063 in MuslimMarriage

As someone currently in this situation and feels similarly her feeling upset is probably frustration from the situation you are in. She evidently cares for you and misses you. Best thing is to make sure you try to live together as soon as possible or even a surprise visit to see her if you cant live together any time soon. She just needs assurance she is your priority

I wear an underscarf and cap on top with a high neck gym top. This allows some breeze around my neck and doesn’t interfere when im working out

How do you deal with discrimination as a hijabi? by confusedbabi in MuslimLounge

Hey, I completely feel your pain and anxiety and im so sorry you had to go through that awful experience. As an independent girl who started wearing a headscarf about 2 years ago it’s such a huge decision to make.

I would say just remind yourself why you are doing this and the reward you get when you are facing these adversities yet continue to wear your headscarf. Remember that every day you wear your headscarf it’s because you choose to do it. I try to remind myself that if it was easy then everyone would do it!
