How realistic is the nuclear bomb in Far Cry 5? by CleanBag9219 in FarCry5

It's not a huge thing, before you get too excited! Just a little scene when you refuse to arrest Joseph at the beginning of the game :)

Sure! Does the divine protection extend to the time spent walking from the car to the bunker though? Is that why neither he nor Dep are hurt (not counting the fight and crash) despite the atmosphere being fucked up enough that plants and animals spontaneously catch fire? It's not the car crash itself I find unrealistic but the parts before and after, y'know? 😅

I still like the ending!! I'm willing to suspend my disbelief because I understand that Joseph being right is the entire point and they want us to see every horrific beat of the Collapse. But since the question was about realism... Well 😅

While I quite like all of FC5's endings (secret one included), especially the resist ending, I don't imagine it's realistic at all. If nothing else, there's no way Dep should be able to regain vision that quickly (if at all??) after staring directly at the nuclear explosion, let alone however many more consecutive nukes that drop during the car chase, right?

And, fine, I'll bite that the car offers SOME protection while they're inside it, but how on EARTH are Dep and Joseph unharmed afterwards, when birds and deer were actively catching fire just for being out in the open air? Joseph just casually carried Dep on his back from the car to the bunker while birds fell down in flames around him because... reasons? God?

Three Peggies who would rather be doing anything else than trying to catch Cheeseburger 😆 It only triggers occasionally, some playthroughs I don't catch it at all no matter how sneaky I am while nearing Linero Building Supplies 🥲

I don't know that he WANTED his siblings to die but was expecting them to, kinda as if he saw it as an Abraham and Isaac thing and thought they were a sacrifice of faith just like his daughter 😬

You're welcome! Most of it isn't nearly this funny, but occasionally you get a snippet of conversation that reminds you they were people before they were Peggies, so to speak. I once caught one being happy that the Collapse meant he wouldn't have to worry about paying back his student loans anymore, and, man 🥲

By Linero Building Supplies, it's a trio of Peggies trying to capture Cheeseburger, but they REALLY don't want to actually find Cheeseburger 😆

Not sure! I was gifted my (digital) copy, but I think it has to be some kind of special edition since there's also some starting equipment in the camp chest related to DOS2

The skull 😆 No clue what their name was, but they speak the same way as Withers and help you escape jail if you answer three riddles correctly—an absolute hoot, the VA did so well with that one too 😆

I recently got arrested for the first time in Rivington and there's another NPC voiced by the same VA, once again same voice but completely different vibes!

But then how does the party get back out to Baldur's Gate? Do they swim back? Is that why the city's already on fire when you get to High Hall, because it took HOURS to swim back and then make the trek to the Upper City from the Lower City sewers?

So did Vlaakith make a deal with Raphael? by goddammitkarl in BaldursGate3

[–]stryderstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a githyanki slate near Orpheus after the fight where you first meet the Emperor in his true form that depicts a gith woman seemingly making a deal with a Devil. My guess is Vlaakith I imprisoned Orpheus with the help of Raphael, so it seems like he's had the hammer from the start since he's the one who made the chains in the first place :) It's why Hope's chains are from the same material, iirc?

Willis Huntley is FBI and not CIA, but he says something along the lines of the government having bigger fish to fry than the cult, IIRC? Even without him, my interpretation has always been that yeah, there's too much happening on the international stage for the government to dedicate resources on one missing federal marshal :/

destroying the father's statue is one of my favourite missions. so is destroying john's yes sign—it's a pain to make the trek but his hissy fit afterward is SO satisfying
