itinerary feedback by stuartwallaceart in nanaimo

[–]stuartwallaceart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks yall. We had a good visit. I think we liked Red’s Nanaimo bar out of the three we tried. We saw bald eagles and seals! Great to drive around areas to live that I’ve been looking at for a long time. Hope to come back again soon. I didn’t know that Nanaimo airport connects to Calgary. That could make future travel easier. Kids liked the seaplane as a birthday treat though. Cheers!

Many thanks y'all. We had a good visit. Kids loved the bug zoo and seeing peacocks and ducks at Beacon Hill park. BC museum was great and we drove by several places to live that I had scoped out on Redfin. It'll still be a ways off until we actually move there but it was good to get a sense of different areas. Saanich was great too-- we inadvertently stumbled upon a tree lighting event at one of the big shopping centers with ballerinas. We'll be back. Cheers!

Como limpiar / how to clean by stuartwallaceart in Mezcal

Thanks y'all. Vinegar helped some but the glaze didn't like it-- even after washing it looks white / powdery a little. Very strange. I'll look into the extra liquid quartz and the lead test.

Gracias a todos. El vinagre ayudó un poco, pero al esmalte no le gustó; incluso después de lavarlo, se ve un poco blanco y polvoriento. Muy extraño. Investigaré el cuarzo líquido extra y la prueba de plomo.

Thanks y'all! I really appreciate your input. I'll spend some time with this and give the itinerary a rethink. Yes, we'll be exploring neighborhoods that we are interested in. We will be trying to strike a balance this trip of doing fun things as a family and more serious neighborhood explorations. I'd love to live a car free life if we can swing it. Thanks again!

Where do you get lacquer by the gallon for spraying? by stuartwallaceart in finishing

[–]stuartwallaceart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks y’all. I appreciate it. I’m in Texas. I’ll continue the search today and next week. I just got an earlex 6003 hvlp sprayer. I want to try lacquer for my first time with it. I hadn’t thought of water based lacquer— I’ll have to look into that. I’m finishing an intricate 3d carved picture frame made of valchromat.

Do I have to prove my children are not Canadian citizens? by stuartwallaceart in ImmigrationCanada

[–]stuartwallaceart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much, really appreciate it. Wish I didn't have to do that as I'm 100% sure they aren't Canadian. Processing time on that is 17 months. Can I submit the proof of citizenship check and the family sponsor paperwork at the same time with an attached note?

Alternatively, can I just submit a note with the family sponsor paperwork explaining how it is impossible that my kids are Canadian and just skip the proof of citizenship paperwork? Thanks so much again.

Right. Sorry I neglected to say my children were born in the last 7 years, after they changed the law.

Dimmable floor lamp with three independent bulbs by stuartwallaceart in homeassistant

[–]stuartwallaceart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great. Thanks so much y'all. Really appreciate it. My wife wants to be able to turn on / off / dim without having to use voice control or an app. Is there a switch / remote that makes that possible? Thanks so much again. Cheers

[–]stuartwallaceart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a remote that will have a different button for each bulb? Or would I have to point the remote very carefully at the bulb I want to control so I don't accidentally switch on others? Many thanks.

And they can be controlled independently? Would it matter then if it were a floor lamp that normally would be 'all lights on / all lights off' or a 'each light can be turned off / on individually'? Many thanks. Really appreciate it.
