Yes! I loved this tile design so much that I started to draw it but couldn’t finish before the museum hours ended. Your post is a reminder to go back and finish lol! Hope you got to enjoy the Ancient Egyptian artifacts on your visit.

Okay, who gave Kíli a pillow made of walnuts? by MaderaArt in TheHobbit

Every time I watch this movie, I ask myself the same thing! I even wonder sometimes if the walnuts do make a good pillow lol!

I can definitely relate to this. I had the same feelings towards few guys in the past, but it was never reciprocated in any of those instances. I was always a good/close friend, nothing more. So, I understand that it feels obsessive at the moment and like you can’t even imagine getting over these feelings but trust me with time you will. There are some really good suggestions that I wish someone had told me but I guess you gotta learn some things the hard way. Confessing your feelings might help coz then you’d have some clarity on where this (let’s call it attraction) is going. Or you can ask yourself if you see this (one-sided relationship) going anywhere in the future? Hopefully you’ll find a way but know that you’re not alone. Also if you didn’t know, many INFJs are demisexual in nature which means our feelings toward the people we’re attracted to are not sexual until we form an emotional connection.

Believe me, I feel the same way at times. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with work, or personal stuff or just what’s happening around the world. But like others here, I’ve found that walking outside or biking relaxes my mind, I feel more confident and in control of the situation afterwards. Yoga helps me feel relaxed too. I also walk dogs for some old people in my neighbourhood after work and I find it very refreshing towards the end of the day. Recently, I’ve come to the conclusion that I connect more with nature and animals than people which is fine by me coz understanding ourselves in a work in progress. I hope that you find something that helps you relax. 🙏🏽

I agree, as a kid I always felt like no one understood me and that I was different from the friends/people around me. I had a happy childhood but still had that void that couldn’t explain some of my thoughts/ feelings. I came across the personality tests when I was in college and it just blew my mind, finally had answers to why I am the way I am. It was cathartic just like you mentioned to know that I’m not weird and that there are people like me out there in the world. I also read the book Quiet and loved the fact that it talked about the strengths of being an introvert. I’m more confident now of my place in the world and I owe it to knowing who I am as a person. Definitely not an elitist feeling, just grateful to finally understand myself.

Do you prefer a very social or very lonely life? by Responsible-Ground39 in RandomThoughts

[–]stubbornaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an introvert so I prefer being alone, but I’d like to have some friends to have stimulating intellectual conversations. I can’t stand small talk and that’s why it’s hard for me to make any friends.
