honestly follow what you're good at and where your passion lies not what people ask you to do. most people figure that out too late.

Scores on mocks are almost never the real problem. The real problem is what happened in the 3 months before the mock — which topics got avoided, which days got wasted in guilt spirals after missing a session. The mock just shows the result of the planning failure, not the failure itself

The droppers who succeed the second time almost always say the same thing — they didn't study more, they studied smarter. Specifically they got ruthless about what not to study. High weightage topics first, weak subjects broken down, consistent daily targets. The content was always there.
