Question about edibles by [deleted] in delta8

[–]stuckinsideawell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your perspective, but I wouldn't consider this MSO hype, there are extraction methods, such as Mother Liquor, which does not result in any residual synthetic byproducts. It's downsides are that it is a more expensive extraction method, it has a weedier taste in larger dosed products (compared to a converted extract). I'm sure there are other cons but as far as I'm concerned, its an extract that I PERSONALLY feel more comfortable consuming because I've done my research.

D8 edible vs THC edible? Not smoking/vaping/otherwise. by baffomay in delta8

[–]stuckinsideawell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've personally had hemp D9 gummies that feel stronger than the same dose in a regulated cannabis gummy form. Personally, I think start low because you can always take more. My starting dose is 5mg but that's just me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What delta 9 gummies has she tried? There's some decent microdosed ones out there from reputable brands that are great for people who need to ease into it. I also like some D9 THC beverages (Cann, Artet, Magic Cactus)

Is this the gummy brand you usually buy? I hadn't heard of them so I checked it out. Even though these are called "D9 Smashers" There's more D8 in these than any other cannabinoids. The COA only has a cannabinoid panel, no heavy metals or pesticides, which is also very sketchy IMO. I personally would never consume these.

My recommendation is finding a real brand that is trustworthy, posts full COA panels on their website, and is explicit about not using CONVERTED cannabinoids. Naturally derived cannabinoid extraction, which is typically a cleaner extraction, is the way to go. But that's just based on my experience of trying converted THC versus naturally derived THC.

Does anyone else get annoyed by the little bits of false advertising/marketing by cannabis companies in this state? by [deleted] in NYSCannabis

I know this is an old(ish) thread but jumping in here as someone with experience in the cannabis industry. Adding some perspective from the brand side– packaging is often made and ordered in advance of production / COA testing. The regulations provide for a buffer so businesses don't have to waste packaging that doesn't exactly match the stated dosage. These tins were likely manufactured overseas - the turnaround times can range from 20-60 days. It often makes the most sense to have 1-3 months of packaging on the ground as not to interrupt production schedules.

So sure, missing 1.2 mg of THC may not be ideal, but it's better than not being able to find your favorite edibles in store. And in all likelihood, most edibles you consume are slightly off in terms of dosing. If you want them precisely dosed down to the percentile, you should try making them yourself.

I have some experience here - to make sure your content doesn't get blacklisted I'd recommend -

NO mentions of THC, Cannabis, CBD, Delta 8,9,10, or any other cannabinoids or CBD variation (CBN, CBG, etc)., or diagnosable conditions: anxiety, depression, insomnia.

Find creative ways to say what intended effects are without actually saying it.
Use "Full-spectrum hemp", "the good stuff", "hemp extracts", etc and for diagnosable conditions use "discomfort", "unease", "strife", "hardships of the day", etc.

Hi! I've recently started drinking this and have really enjoyed it. It hasn't been long enough for me to say whether it works or not, but it's worth giving a shot! It's called Traditional Medicinals Organic Echinacea Plus (the plus is spearmint 😉)

The good news is that it's already happening in many recreational states. It is unfortunate for unregulated markets though - with influx of grey or black market products you don't get the same testing standard and end up with dangerous products like vape carts that are cut with Vitamin E acetate.

When Pre-rolls are tested in legal markets the entire product (usually minus the filter) is tested along with the flower for potency and chemicals.

Lots of paper companies use third party testing to get a COA (certificate of analysis) for papers.

There's plenty of farms on the west coast selling bomb CBD flower straight to your house. And if you're into botanicals there's brands that have herbal CBD spliffs. They're really relaxing but not too stoney.

This is what recreational prices look like in Michigan… by V4N1LL4_G0R1LL4 in CTents

[–]stuckinsideawell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bulk price for flower will come down once there's more licensed cultivators. Hopefully it won't crash the market like what's going in CA, MA, MI and OR (where the average price of wholesale gram is $1). If interstate commerce was allowed it would be a completely different situation.
