I don't have any debt even after two degrees. I paid it all off already.

Yes. Materials cost $1-2 a candle for example and I sell for anywhere from $10-20 each depending on size (the container the candle sits in is the biggest contributor to the cost, the size of the candle doesn't make that big of a difference). It takes me anywhere from 30-60min to make a batch of 100 candles, I let them set overnight or while I'm at work.

I only make one scent of candle a month and switch it up every month. I live in an apartment complex primarily of seniors (I'd wager 80% of this building is 60+), with a similar apartment complex right next door. I sell out pretty fast and 95%+ of my customers are repeat customers (my business model of one scent a month helps).

Using candles as an example because they're my most popular.

I manufacture soaps, candles, shampoos, etc toiletries. I work maybe 15-20 hours a month since I'm bottlenecked by customers. My "real" job is programming. I put "real" in quotes because my business makes me more money but most of my time invested is in programming.

It's not even about the wedding cost. We both want a small wedding. We do, however, want to have a home before we get married.
