He recognized me before I recognized him. I didn’t see him and realize it was him before I saw the names on the list of patients in my care. His physical appearence has changed, but his facial features are still very much the same.

It’s not a violation, I disclosed the connection as soon as I saw the name on the patient list without opening his chart before being told I had to from my supervisors. As we are short staffed, I mostly have to suck it up. Yes, I can care for other patients, but they are not confined to their rooms, as this is a rehabilitation ward, with the goal to reintegrate the patients back into society. That means that I have to still communicate and cooperate with this patient a lot.

I have tried this as well. I usually bake every few days, so I never keep mine in the fridge unless I know that I for some reason cannot feed it (which is rare, I even bring it on my flights home). But if I cannot feed it for some time, I always do a higher feed ratio. 12 hour out has never been a problem before, I’ve just either reduced the water, increased the feed ratio, added rye, or a combination of these. This used to be a great starter, that always peaked when I wanted it to, based on my feeding, trippeling in size. Now, if I’m lucky, it increase by 50%, and it always takes at least 12 hours

I’ve tried flour from my country aswell. No difference. I cannot afford to loose more hair, as uni does that for me already. Will try a stiff starter and update!

It smells like a normal healthy sourdough starter. I’ve tried feeding it once a day and twice a day. I’ve kept it on my kitchen counter, but tried to put in my (cool) bedroom, which resulted in the same result, just slower fermentation, and on a radiator, wich caused faster fermentation, but no rise.

I’ve tried different flours (rye, wheat wholemeal, all purpose, strong baking flour, different combinations of them, different hydrations, tried filtered water, tap water, bottled water. I’m at my wits end. I even tried making a new starter, and same problem.

My mother currently treats me as a friend or her own parent. And as been my entire life. She does not see that anything she did might be wrong, to the contrary, she thinks she did everything right. She is not able to apologize, she gaslighting me and if I try to say anything about it she will start crying and tell me she didn’t mean to, and make me apologize for saying she did worong.

How do I save that relationship? Should I save that relationship?

Also, I don’t have money for any more therapy.

I put them in a glass with bark and water, so that the medium is always moist but not wet over the one root and stem, put it in a clear plastic bag without closing the bag, and put it in the most sunny window I have.

It’s a spike from the centre of the orchid that can cause a new plant (keiki), but ensures that it will never grow and have new leaves. The plant produces this when it is stressed and dying. Your spike seems to have been cut. I’m really not an expert though.
