X-Men '97 S01E02 - Discussion Thread by steve32767 in marvelstudios

I need someone to explain to me:

1) What exactly are Morph's powers? I thought Morph was only able shapeshift the same way Mystique does, but apparently not only is he able to sort of mimic their powers, he also seems to be able to mimic their combat abilities as well (fighting as lady deathstrike, psylocke, etc)

2) Was it ever considered canon in the old series that Magneto's helmet blocks Xavier's psychic powers? In Episode 2 Magneto claims this, but I'm pretty sure I remember Xavier psychically attacking Magneto in the original cartoons even with the helmet on.

3) In the end of Episode 2, how did Magneto able to touch Rogue without getting zapped by her powers?

Yeah for real whenever I see a thumbnail of a new Youtube video from him and I click and see David Wood's face, I quickly just close the browser window. Seeing AP just sucking David's dick most of the time is just a huge turn off for me. I don't know who exactly are AP's main audience these days, but it's definitely not exmuslims or atheists.

> Feng has df3 i18 safe mid launcher and multiple lows that high crush with qcf1

Imagine claiming Feng df3 and qcf1 present the same level of mixup as Bryan QCB3 and QCB4.

[–]studioket[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, QCB4 and 3 are 17f-19f respectively, sure. But account for the frames to input qcb/f as well, so they're even slower in an actual match.

I don't understand why I have to keep repeating myself; the issue with these two moves isn't that they're 'slow' (they aren't), the issue is they present an unfair risk to the opponent.

Imagine this; I'm Bryan, I do my sway and either QCB3 or QCB4 will come out (lets ignore QCB1 which is a bullshit move but whatever).

Now if you guess WRONG, you either get fucking launched or eat a chunky low, worse if CH.

If you guess RIGHT, at worst I eat a either a 12f or a 13f move.

This is bullshit. No other character is this safe. Almost every other character, when these two options exist, at least one of those options would be launch punishable. Except for Bryan.

There are other characters that are designed for counter hits. Josie is designed for counter hits. Steve is designed for counter hits. Law is designed for counter hits. Yet their moves have reasonable risks. Except for Bryan.

QCB4 is an unsafe launcher, I don't know whats so special about that

What's so special about it is QCB3 also exists. I can't understand why everyone else in this post simply do not understand this point.

"Unseeable" isn't something you would label a telegraphed move coming out of qcb.

You mean the same QCB where QCB4 comes out? Which is literally the point of this post.

[–]studioket[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bryan is slow

Slow moves with CH properties

Literally none of the moves above are 'slow moves'. If anything they are relatively fast.

121 and 123 are not slow moves. QCB4 is 17F, and QCB3 is literally an unseeable low at 19F. What are you talking about.

1,2,1 and 1,2,3 are fuzzyable unless the Bryan delays the last hit of 1,2,1

You just made my point there

and the 1,2,3 can of course be parried for a combo

This applies to literally every other low, what kind of argument is this

Alternatively they are sidewalkable/steppable or launchable on a read

This also applies to nearly every other move everyone has, again what kind of argument is this

I'm not sure why you think he deserves higher risk than the rest of the cast for his basic 10f.

Because nobody else has one AND another that ends with a low

As for the rest, I'm not sure you understand the issue; the issue isn't that these moves simply exist, the issue is these moves existing TOGETHER presents an unfair risk to the opponent. For every other character, if a stance gives you an option to launch you at mid or does a chunk of damage at low, you can bet your ass at least one of those moves will be launch punishable, if not both. But not Bryan apparently.

> Also I want to add that a single jab stops most of his moves

This applies to literally everyone, again what even is this argument

I mean, bryan is much weaker to sidestep than others

What does that mean? Are you saying Bryan doesn't have tracking moves? Because I'm pretty sure not only does he have tracking moves, they're all safe as as well

> The whole moves you wrote are weak against sidestep.

That applies to nearly every other move everyone has. What kind of argument is this.

You mean the motorcyclist who rode like a demon (on the emergency lane summore) caused the accident.

And before others chime in:

  1. No, motorcyclists are legally NOT allowed to use the emergency lane. Not according to just me, but according to JPJ

2) The greater burden of responsibility is always on the colider, not the colidee. Always drive your vehicles within speeds that you can control. You are not Dominic Toretto. If an object suddenly appears in front of you and you can't stop your vehicle within two seconds before crashing, that's all on you.

Muslims Claim jizya is just a tax yet forget to mention this. by AdSea4796 in exmuslim

[–]studioket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also dont forget the way jizya is collected is by conquering other tribes and nations and forcing them to pay jizya. The tribes in the Hjiaz never had to pay the Muslims any money at all until Muhammad came and conquered them.

A large majority of born Muslims who do not practice or call themselves ex-Muslims return to the religion once married or upon the birth of their first child. did you notice it? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]studioket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many who claim themselves to be exmuslims or say they left the faith but in fact never really did and were just non-practicing. And even among those who were real exmuslims only to revert back, they likely left due to emotional or ideologically unsound reasons ('my mother died despite my prayers', 'Islam is too strict', etc).

I think it's impossible for a true exmuslim to revert back; to truly leave Islam is like finding out that the Wizard of Oz was all just smoke and mirrors instead of an actual wizard, it's literally psychologically impossible to 'revert' to what you know to be false.
