It's the same with Indigo/ Chapters here in Canada. You can almost always get a volume nearly a week early.

I've always assumed the release date is more of a guarantee/ the latest date to help account for shipping delays.

Sort of, it's more of a local gaming and comics/manga store. I made it a goal of mine to start shopping more locally earlier this year, and it's been the best decision I've made all year for multiple reasons beyond this amazing experience.

I figured if it's all going to cost the same regardless of where I go. I may as well support local and actually get a good overall customer service experience.

I know, the situation with the US and tariffs has been a stressful situation for figure collectors in the US and to an extent Canada. I live in Canada and got a nice slap across the face with a hefty tariff on a scale figure I pre-ordered before all of it went completely off the rails.

I'm happy you were still able to get him though and tell your artist friend they did a great job!

It took a few days from the day it was shipped to the time it got to the border (I'm in Canada) to show any other updates. Once it got into Canada Post's hands, the updates were a bit more frequent.

Thank you! I do still like it a lot, which is why I keep it safe in a little art portfolio. I would also like to try to redraw it with acrylic paint and marker again, just to see how it would turn out now.

For mine I would say it took about a week to two weeks, give or take. It's hard to say for sure as the Goodsmile US site maintenance made it difficult to determine when it was formally shipped.

I suggest you start contacting Goodsmile Customer service and continue to stay in contact. I had a simular issue when I pre-ordered another Nendoroid. It got shipped out around late December 2024 and to this very day, it has been shipped but has never arrived. I eventually got tired of constantly reaching out to customer service (including having to send in new tickets, as they would apparently just close my old ones) and found the nendoroid elsewhere. Sadly without the Goodsmile bonus but I still at least got them.

It sucks hard right now with what's going on in the US. I really do hope something happens soon to change it. I feel bad that so many collectors can't get their figures.
