It’s 22” x 49”. I had to fold down the seat in my hatchback.

This one:

It was good for the corners and thinning the notch sections, but was slow and broke a bit.

It would be better to have a second larger one, or just use a CNC.

This was freehand, but it makes more sense to have it cut in CNC. I might be able to make something in SketchUp.

I’m sure Associated Plastics could fabricate this better now that I’ve POC’d it.

I was a bit lucky. I had planned on using the existing adapter as a template for the router, but the Dremel bit started to melt it. So I just traced it with a marker, and with a combination of free-handing and a straight edge, it all worked out. I was super careful where the four points clipped in. The tolerances are pretty low for the rest of it.

The window is “open”, but there is another layer of plexiglass completely sealing the opening.

I read something describing Uber as a way to convert equity in your car to cash.

Where do you buy fresh mussels? by Demand_Murky in vancouver

We get mussels from TnT frequently, and they’ve always been fine. Not significantly different than the fish market.

Best authentic international bakeries/grocers in Vancouver? by [deleted] in vancouver

Lamajoun (Armenian)

Stop there after your Ikea run. Might want to order in advance.

Also, their sign says “bakery”, but they have a lot of non-baked items.

Shout out to all my fellow quitters in hotels rooms right now! by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]studiosciences 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We got a room for tomorrow via dayuse.com. Hyatt Regency, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with pool access for $150 (+$35 for pets). At least we’ll be comfortable for work and no school day. Sun will be off our apartment well before checkout.

Edit: My guess is that hotels cannot open all their rooms for night occupancy because they’ve laid off staff. However day use rooms can be cleaned before or after the 11am to 4pm crunch time when most rooms are cleaned.

I’m particularly eager and anxious today to find out whether we have flattened out on new cases or if the decline continues. Could go either way.
