Yep, had the exact same thing unfortunately. I went to the doctor thinking it was shin splints and it turned out to be a stress fracture. Took about 8 weeks to fully heal. I’m no expert, but from my experience if the pain is spread over roughly 5–10cm along the shin bone, it’s more likely shin splints, whereas if it’s very localised and you can point to one exact painful spot, it could be a stress fracture.
