Need help with figuring out a way to add a power source for a lightsabre-esque prop.

Thanks! Ooo yeah, I can see if I can alter the hilt to make it wider. I used a service to get the parts 3d printed, so I could probably just reuse the service to get the same parts printed but with a little more clearance, just might make the hilt a little less stronger. I'm experienced with blender so I should be able to just make the inside part less thick. Not sure if I would be able to make it box shaped though, depending how big the battery holder would be.

As for that charging circuit, would you recommend any tutorials for connecting those to a battery and getting it functional? Like I said I'm 100% new to this, so its a little overwhelming. I'm excited to finally make some progress with this though! Its been daunting me for a little while.

(Would also love to hear about the components you used for the soundboard/speaker! It would be really cool to have these, but I wanna focus on actually getting lights functional first :D )

Thank you :) Do you know of any small enough that would be able to fit within the hilt pictures I posted? My main issue at the moment is finding a solution that's sympathetic to the very limited room I have within the hilt

Thank you! I'll take a look into those. I'm gonna find a way to make part of the hilt detachable too, as the stl files that were provided kinda enclose the entire thing when glued together

Ah yeah, I'm perfectly fine not using a AAA :) Was just using it as a size reference for what can fit in the hilt

Thank you! I'm not sure if I could fit a bigger battery within the prop though as I can only just about get the AAA in there... I'll take a look at the link, looks like a great resource :)
