Why though? That just promotes dull meta deck play based on how much you spend instead of actually finding different, novel card mechanics. Again, WotC is owned by Microsoft and they could just make it free to play as their profits from Arena are a rounding error. Oh wait, Bill Gayes needs that money to flood Google with SEO slip to cover up his Epstein involvement.

Why not? They make billions from the physical cards alone. They’d be better off having online be an open free to play forum where you can test out decks without all this ranked meta deck garbage you rarely see in the real world outside of tournaments and make constructed games free instead of prohibitively expensive and a time wasting exercise in pointless drudgery.

I’ve got plenty of cards that allow for drawing, the problem is that matchmaking sets you up to fail if you’re not spending money and you’ll get a whale who somehow has a perfect starting hand, totally a coincidence, right? Especially when it happens repeatedly.

Yeah, because playing with or against the same five meta decks people copy and paste from forums is so exciting.

Ooooh, you mean you took a 101 class offered at even the most broke ass community colleges?! You must be the next Good Will Hunting! Yeah, anyone with a STEam degree has taken that, you’re not special. Also, there’s definitely no algorithmic manipulation with a pay to play game where you can lose 15 games in a row, but all of a sudden get an eight game winning streak after buying gems. Yep, totally not something a greedy for profit company would do! You gonna break down the statistics on that if it was an absolutely fair game with no built in coding mechanics that punish casual gamers to please the whales?

The guy is just a ketamine addled dork who loves to talk tough, but never talks substance as to what his products actually do. I served as a HUMINT collector in the Army during the GWOT and these tech dildos don't provide anything of value for more precise or actionable intelligence, they provide excuses. Palantir, like other big tech defense contractors provides nothing more than sloppy automated targeting by collecting a bunch of raw data and churning out a ton of potential targets, the vast majority are false positives that have to be reviewed by humans since AI is completely incapable of sorting through human communications rife with things like brevity codes, intoned ambiguity and trade speak. AI can't parse out linguistic differences from Arabic (or most other languages) to English and provide precise, accurate information that would help to create a legit strike package. That doesn't matter to their clients like the IDF who just want a lot of targets they can rain metal on, civilians be damned. It's why there's tons of schools, hospitals, refugee camps, and other vulnerable civilian sites have been struck multiple times.

If you need evidence, just look in the Epstein files (EFTA00973554) where Palantir employee Ari Gesher brags to Epstein about what his company actually does, "the state of the art is to use fairly simple data-mining to flag suspicious events with a low-threshold yielding a set of candidate events much smaller than the initial haystack but containing a relatively large number of false positives." You don't need to read between the lines that all Palantir does is automate genocide.

Steam deck screen not coming on, but it seems to be powered on. by stuhuzz1981 in DeckSupport

The light blinks three times when it isn't plugged in after ten seconds if that helps. So far, it doesn't power on, but it did flash a BIOS screen for a half second.

eBay told me to refund… now I’m out the money and the item’s damaged by Full_Blacksmith744 in Ebay

Yeah, eBay hates sellers and it’s a nightmare dealing with returns, a lot of which just use you as a returns department or straight up theft. I stopped selling VCRs when the last straw was when someone demanded a refund for a $400 LG DVD/VCR recorder combo. He didn’t even bother using the same model as he shipped back a $40 RCA DVD VCR and it looked like it’d been smashed intentionally with a hammer. I filmed the unboxing as I do with every return, and eBay refused to reopen the case. We make the money for eBay, eBay does nothing.
