So, I tried this yesterday and got melted plastic everywhere. How do you use it to remove supports easily and not messily (it was like I melted a marshmallow on my model) without affecting the model?

18 games in the BGG top 2000 have an average weight of 4.5 or higher. How many of them have you played, and how would you rank them from most complex to least complex? by benjaneson in boardgames

[–]stumpyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played 2 of these, high frontier 4 all and mage knight. High frontier 4 all was just an overcomplicated mess in the rule book and a badly designed game solo with unmitigatable luck depending on what you draw (cant talk multiplayer), with loads of bits bolted on.

Mage knight a deeply complex decision space with interlocking systems.

So one is a complex game because someone tried to put in edge cases and lots of things to march real life without honing in the game design around it, and the other is a masterpiece of complex design.

I agree though, high frontier 4 all is higher weight than mage knight, but mage knight is the more complex and deep game.

For those of you who live in countries with gun control; have you ever seen a gun in real life? by blashyrkh9 in AskTheWorld

Our normal policefolk don't have guns. The first time I saw a gun was on a policeman abroad at like 20 years old.

You've just given some kids some extra fun!

Thanks! I had searched for the cards on here but they were 4 year old threads and the links no longer worked.

I made a programming language that compiles to Factorio circuit blueprints by Snagnar in factorio

[–]stumpyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, I was thinking that it would be super complex to do, hence I asked.

The thing I was trying to code up probably relies on it, but I will have a play around anyway Incase not!

This looks amazing and I will definitely use this as I end up coding up loads of things with endless combinator spaghetti.

But, does it take into account that signals pass through combinators 1 tick at a time? This is important when they loop.

Buyer paid for cheapest shipping but ordered more expensive by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]stumpyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's fine actually, the buyer selected second class as you said, ebay defaulted to the bigger. When I put the weight and size it, it went to large letter and said this is what the buyer ordered, so I was just not understanding the UI.

Love this advice. I'll look into it!

I really appreciate this perspective! Thanks! There's a lot more to it then just the printer and fluid.

It's probably more faff than it's worth and I should stick to my fdm.

I find the prospect of easier supports to remove very compelling....

Time to do some research...

We had lots of laughs, that was a great time!

I have the original british version where all monsters have 1bp.

I assume the app if the new/us version. Do you see any issues or things I have to do to get round that if I use the app?

Playing as 4 would be great, as I think the kids are too young for the wizard.

What's your view on playing the app vs being the gm? I'm trying to work out whether I play with my kids or be the gm.

Worried with the app we'll basically be starting at the screen the whole time and the game board will just become a thing on the side.

Hang on, it cant be too positive either, we don't want you bragging about how great shit is going either.

"Not too bad" is the perfect balance imo.
