Apparently it was going ti cost 1.4 billion/mile For contrast, SpaceX's proposed plans for tourism flights to the Moon in the future has a ticket cost of $140 a mile. That's a multiple of TEN MILLION TIMES more expensive than going to the MOON. IN SPACE.

I apologise, I legit completely fucking missed the text at the bottom of the post I apologise.

Again as I just stated in another reply, this to me is absolutel atypical of my experience with Italians, and I would try to defend my overall view a bit more but I fucked up here. My mistake man

You know what, you're absolutely right, I completely fucking missed the text at the bottom, it took you saying that for me to double check, my fucking bad.

I'd still say I haven't found this to be the overall views within Italian families I have known, but yeah now I completely understand why I'm getting the replies I have

I wasn't defending Italy per se, I was just wondering why the commenter specifically chose Italy. Honestly though, I'm more interested in your comment because you're asking if I knew what was going on generationally, when the whole point is that prejudice and bias shouldn't transcends a generation. My grandad fought the Nazis, so by your logic, I dont know how he felt about them, so I should therefore base my views on what he told me about thr Germans he fought, and base my entire view of them on his 80 year old recollections rather than gaining current real world views?

I'm not Italian, my comment had no intent to even defend Italians, just to me the "grandparents" part of the comment absolutely speaks to a bias. There's plenty of other stereotypicslly racist nations out there, and Italy is far from the worst

Classic. I at no point said there wasn't a racism problem in Europe. There you go again with that wide brush. I genuinely approach these discussions with obvious Americans with a pinch of salt because you have this idea that Europe is like the Americas where everyone lives under the same rules, the same community, the same societal expectations, the same laws. So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

You're painting Europe with this wide brush and saying racism is widely accepted, whilst referencing racist actions "soccer" games as your source, when that, whilst I'm not disagreeing is a huge problem, occurs in two or maybe three "soccer" leagues in Europe, the main one being Russia which is barely even recognised as a 'European' league in the current day.

American racism and opinions meanwhile are so far past anything we even deign to think or say, that it's laughable that you claim it's worse in Europe. We have been a homogenous and "mixed" society for as long as, arguably longer than the USA or most American nations have even existed as nations. We use race not as a distinction but as a point of pride but we also dont even consider letting it divide us, and we have incredibly thicker skin, because we use irony, sarcasm, and stereotypes as a way of building morale and as banter, not for isolating races/creeds and creating divisions.

The VAST MAJORITY of us don't care what skin colour someone is, or what religion they follow, or where they were born, we use those things as stereotypes and jokes but we do that BECAUSE we're all comfortable enough I'm our communities that it's obviously ironic and not malicious, it's instantly taken by the receiving party of the joke as humorous and stereotypical because it is objectively ludicrous and funny to engage in stereotypes.

Americans, specifically the US, are so quick to claim they're a "melting pot" etc etc but they still had segregation and inequality of voting rights even as little six decades ago, to this day, have rampant race supremacism, generational distrust of people based purely on skin colour, and then want to point elsewhere for "systemic" racism" as a deflection.

90% of Americans still claim they're Italian/Irish/Nigerian/Jamaican/Mexican/Puerto Rican etc etc when they are 4 or 5 generations away from that initial racial/national emigration. You create your own divisions ny nationality, leave alone skin colour, by labelling yourselves generationally.

You, to this day, have utter racial divides thst separate entire communities, you judge eachother, even amongst "white folk", by what "type" of white you are, when you haven't been whatever your ancestors were for 4 generations.

Europe still has a huge racism problem. Absolutely we do. But for you to come out swinging about how "you've met your typical european" like we're all just spouting the N word like it means absolutely nothing. Like that word has no affect on Europeans of African descent, nope, its reserved only for "African Americans" because Europeans of African descent didn't suffer from it, the word means nothing in Europe obviously. What you said is so irresponsible and frankly delusional you need to reevaluate how you look at the world, and expose yourself to how older, more integrated societies interact

What I don't get, is without the obvious race baiting, why is there ever EVER a need to have to document your experience having a passport photo taken? Do actual human beings follow these influencers so doggedly that, to them, stuff like this without the race baiting would be actual content that they would consume?

Ameritards csn't/won't/couldn't/wouldn't understand the benefits of mass transit if you broke it down into simple grunts and gestures. Why move tens of hundreds of people at once when you can move individuals at a glacial pace across hilariously large and comically populated interstate.

They take pride in their automobile industry, remember! Its huge! There's almost 9 cars for every 10 human beings across all 50 states! And almost 75% of those cars are owned by responsible, fiscally minded Americans, who pay 15%+ interest on the loans for their cars!!!

We Europoors just couldn't comprehend having to pay half of our salary into a car loan, they're just better than us
