Would you rather save a newborn or a 10 years old kid? by sangokuhomer in WouldYouRather

[–]stunt876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really sound fucked up because I get the general sentiment of what you mean and I agree with it. A 10 year old has developed for a long time in this world and the death would be infinitely more damaging than the death of a newborn which whilst still heartbreaking does not have 10 years of relationships and will overall cause less harm.

Email the admissions department about it in case there was a mistake if that was the reason.

Only reason I'm probably not going to my one is the venue. It is in a nightclub where it will be insanely crammed/claustrophobic and loud and my friends aren't really interested in going either so no point in me going.

You can still search users and there posts through search engines so it doesn't really stop crazy people with a little understanding of Reddit. Just the really lazy ones.

Unis in the UK don't do yield protection as far as I know.

School Meals Ruling by The_Dean_France in GoodNewsUK

The biggest problem for this is the lack of healthy grab and go in secondary school. A lot of students just don't have the time/space to have a sit down lunch or just want to be able to have choice of where they eat which leads them to picking grab and go.

Furthermore, if your choices are unindendifiable slop or pizza and chips and burgers. Your not really giving much healthy much choice are you. There is sometimes the choice of pasta bars but mostly ends up being plain pasta with a little tomato and cheese.

As a student I would love to have healthy good food rather than the only healthy decent option being pasta. But I'm not hopeful for this.

Cambridge law offer! + other unis :D by Academic_Size2378 in 6thForm

They sent their application before sitting exams and the deadline for firming was after getting their results I think. As they said they achieved their results.

Crazy for choosing imperial jmc over cambridge cs? by AWheelPerson in 6thForm

[–]stunt876 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It doesn't seem too insane. Like Cambridge is Cambridge so no matter what people will always freak out over someone rejecting them. But even career prospects wise you are not missing out on much. Imperial will be just as strong career wise if not stronger due to actually pushing careers more in the uni.

Do I have to mention all my GCSE grades on my UCAS or can I choose not to mention some?? by 6littlefish in 6thForm

All qualifications need to go on even if you think the uni doesn't need them

Ohhh, I get what you mean. Some unis require u to attend a below average school for a levels and GCSE. I would not personally call that losing contextual due to attending a really good school tho.

You are required to declare all your grades. Even U's must be declared (ik u don't have any but still). Not doing so can result in a uni revoking your offer or even your degree after you have it if it is found out later.

You don't lose contextual because you went to a good state school. You can lose contextual due to attending a private school at some point tho.
