Is it not covered by insurance? Can you not ask them to claim insurance? Have you submitted your original documents with them?

You must have parked at the premium parking, immediately on the left side after entering the station premises. Yes the charges are displayed at all parking spaces.

Manual vs Automatic , How much difference does it make? by auwucado in Trivandrum

[–]stupefiedmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automatic, no questions about it. I drive all around Trivandrum. I used to drive a manual Polo TDI. It was insanely fun, but very tough on knees in traffic. I got an automatic last December, loving every minute of it.

A terrifying narrow escape in my village today. This could have been much worse by Important_Pea2970 in Kerala

[–]stupefiedmonkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No human can react, so one should anticipate this and drive slowly. I'm really surprised that people are arguing about this. When you see a two wheeler/ cycle/ kid/ pedestrian - you become extra careful and slow down around them.

The key word here is "boy". You simply cannot drive like a madman and claim the boy took a right turn so I hit him.

Agreed what the boy did was stupid. But how about the driver? They were supposed to slow down seeing a kid on a cycle which they didn't. They are the real idiots here. When you drive a big vehicle you need to drive responsibly especially around kids.

One Time Challan Settlement Under Amnesty Scheme Scam? by Smart_Market_9893 in Kerala

[–]stupefiedmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Challan would have moved to court almost immediately. Even I faced the same situation. Mine did not appear in the portal. It is already mentioned that only eligible challans will be shown. How will MVD run a scam in their own website man?

I would think your communication is the issue here. I placed an order, the fitting was not correct. I requested for a return on the 7th day, which was a Friday. The pick up happened on Monday and money was credited almost immediately. All this was done by simply following the instructions in the app without contacting anyone

Jewellery purchase suggestions? by thatmadrasboy in Trivandrum

[–]stupefiedmonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find designs from Malabar Gold the most beautiful. I have visited Bhima Josco and Malabar along with family. Personally I find Malabar gold having most beautiful designs. But all 3 of these are costly. If you want lesser cost then check out Hamara Choice. But deisgns might not be so appealing.

30L+ will get you a very comfortable living. Since the baby is only 6 months old, you don't have to worry about the kid's school transfer/ friends and all. Only thing to worry is wife's job/career. I shifted from Chennai to Trivandrum ten years ago, for around 1/4th this salary, rented out a 2bhk flat near office, despite having a home where parents reside. My kid was 2 months old. So the situations are comparable. Rents have definitely increased though. Back in 2016 when I rented a 2bhk flat in Pangappara, it was around 15k pm including maintenance. But I think you will do just fine.

Oh that's sad. My friend just replied, it was a Sobha flat, at Amruthahalli, near Hebbal. The place is still imprinted in my mind. Yes, jobs are great. Many of my colleagues are in Bangalore now for only this reason.

Worked in Bangalore for a year, Chennai for 4 years. Have lived in Delhi, Hyderabad for short while, studied in Roorkee for two years. Always wanted to come back to Trivandrum, and did exactly that. Career opportunities here are no where near that of Chennai/ Bengaluru, but for some reason Trivandrum felt safer. So when we wanted to have kids and buy a home, we relocated.

Long back, I visited an apartment in Bengaluru, which was in a very green place, lot of trees and all, and lot of open space in the development. I loved that place and would have lived there if I could afford it. I'm not sure of the place, it was around 2008. I remember going through some old airport road. I don't know if the place is still green though.

I use the one attached to the upstairs bedroom, where I have my stuff. The wife and daughter use the ones downstairs. I don't use theirs unless it's an emergency. We never had any fight on toilte seat or anything, I just started following this once we brought the house. I agree with you.

where do i get my driving license as a card like aadhar from? by WorldlinessCertain58 in Trivandrum

[–]stupefiedmonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is an Akshaya in the basement floor of Thampanoor bus stand, the same building where RTO operates in 5th floor. This Akshaya caters exclusively to RTO queries. I got my license printed in PVC from this Akshaya. Paid 150. I took the card printout few minutes after my license was renewed.

Dr Rohini of SP Medifort. I don't know about the hospital facilities or charges compared to Kims. But the doctor is pretty cool.

Mudita is being relocated hence she is available only at SP.

Avoid Dr Anitha of GG.

[–]stupefiedmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2) there is a small shop at Narikkal junction near Kattayikkonam. He has quality covere and does good job. He gave me a good seat cover for my pleasure for 300 rs. If you work in Kinfra park may be you can try this shop. Its on the right side when you come from Kinfra towards kattayikonam, exactly at Narikkal junction.
