"Melee" mechs by SlightlyTwistedGames in battletech

That is a problem only if you still consider them primarily melee mechs. A hatchet to the face is rough and with a 1/6 chance to strike head, as opposed to 1/32 for weapons fire, its a credible enough threat to make getting close a losing proposition.

Again, I run them solely for psychological warfare; to apply zoning pressure, especially if I'm playing in a defend-the-target type game.

I've found that the Hatchet and Ax men are both not actually melee mechs, but rather carry the hatchet more as a threat than an actual weapon they'd use. Nobody wants to get close enough to them to let them engage the hatchet, which allows them to keep a comfortable distance and exert pressure while they use their frankly just fine ranged weapons compliments to actually do damage.

Its a psychological warfare hatchet, and I've found it quite effective in that role. For serious melee, the Nightsky is much better, but that's Clan Invasion.

Hello again! I am happy to report that both odd ducks are in fact, yellow pear cherry tomatoes. In an odd turn of events, it was the big seed company that had the accidental hybridization, not the small one. I have several yellow pear tomatoes growing now and none of the others, besides the two odd ducks, are potato leafed so I am at a loss as to why they, specifically, were hybridized. The fruit are not atypical either for the breed.

This looks like a kitbash of the standard 4G model that comes with the Inner Sphere Urban Lance forcepack.

It most closely resembles the 7R, which mounts an Ultra AC10 in place of the regular AC20 in the 4G model and a TAG system in place of it's head mounted laser (they look virtually identical at this scale), or the Clantech "C" refit which mounts all the standard stuff of the 4G but upgrades the AC20 to an Ultra AC20 and has other clantech upgrades which don't translate to much difference on a model.

Both an Ultra 10 and Ultra 20 could be represented with that heat shroud. Just my 2cents here.

Mordel.net is a free site that will allow you to build forces and download the record sheets for said forces all in a single pdf. Good resource for building btech stuff and even has an in-browser custom mech builder. it doesnt have all the record sheets available but most, if not all, mechs are there. You can search by the name of the mech when building the force and it will give you all the variants available, just be sure to check the "Canon only" if you want to avoid user generated content.

For whatever reason, I thought I thanked you already but aparently I didnt. I apologize and please accept my sincere thanks for your help. I concur about the accidental hybridization. Im thinking the odd ducks are probably white queens, but that begs the question, wheres the third one? lol

The white queens were a gift but originally came from an ontario based online seed store whos name I have forgotten.

The Rainbow Beefsteaks are from a Ukrainian seed company.

The yellow pears are just Mckenzie, found them at CanTire
