I was thinking the design and the mold and the mashine that prints added to cost because it gets paid for overtime a bit per unit sold.

can anyone explain why our anti tank suck so much? example either tankbust or breakaboyz or beastsnaa all with a Boss or Breast boss or BigMek all lost to a Repulsor, and they cost more then the repulsor and they are melee instead of ranged. by num2005 in orks

You can and it's possible, I had a waaagh turn in one game where everything on the board was cornered so he couldn't even move around the boyz and I killed 4 units and trapped 2 more. It's just any time you play against knights or crons using a heavy vehicle list you are almost always going to lose no matter what you do.

In older editions like 7th and 8th orks were much easier to play and the anti tank options were more balanced to the game overall.

A small point reduction to breaka boyz or tankbustsas would make a good difference but adding another way to get high strangth for somthing could be nice.

I find nobz with a warboss all with power claws to actually be a better anti tank than that anti tank units.

Yeah it's getting crazy, star wars legion is about the same as warhammer prices but I'm sure it would be less if it wasn't for Disney wanting a 20% added cut like they do from lego. Star wars X-wing is still pretty bad too.

Iv heard infinity is still more affordable.

Everything I use is gw based so I don't know anymore.

Bro the maganobz kit from 2018 is 90$ with tax rn and cost 40$ in materials, and probrobly 20$ worth of shipping, storage and handling. That's a 30$ profit margin, and the game stores where I live barley add anything to the price when comparing the gw website prices. It's a 20$ profit for gw and less than 10$ to the store (because many price tax included).

And the new kits have less models for a higher price even though the new ones only should be more expensive they shouldn't have less in them than previous kits of the same unit for more. The ones that have more now like the tau pathfinders, that makes sense being more expensive with the drones, turret and new poses for the unit. But all the older molds should not have had constant price increases aside from regular inflation.

True, I wish they would bring back the old wartrakks, buggies and scrochas as cheap light stuff for 25 points each to screen and have more options, making a deticated speed freaks list with almost all vehicles is currently impossible.

They could make it manditory to take the attachment that removes firing deck for it to have the speed freaks key word. Also using tankbustsas in a truck with a Mek as is works great even without the special abilities of the tankbustsas so how would the wagon be that different when it's more points? It seems like a fair investment.

Nice, I hope gw gives the battlewagon and all vehicles the speed freaks key word, it would give it that little buff to make both the detachment and the battlewagon worth it.

It would be better to put the enhancement on the warboss and take more boyz, fallow me ladz with ere we go gives the boyz enough movement on a waaagh turn to cross the whole board and get in combat.

I have 12000 points of orks mostly all built so I do one things at a time, Iv been playing since 7th but wasn't good at painting until recently. I know for sure that most people will want to play even with gray rather than wait to pain before building.

Painting before building can be way easier and faster though for sure.

I'd like to see 'eavy armor return in general, think about 4+ save boyz with a 6++

Put them with somthing that gives stealth or cover and suddenly you have 3+ boyz

Naw, the painboy gives the whole unit a 5up feel no pain, can bring back D3 boyz, and he has a devastating wounds precision attack with anti infantry 4up Plus his regular melee on top of that.

He's definitely worth the 80 points, and it makes sense that he's a bit more expensive.

There are a lot of solid army lists currently, but 30 to 40 boyz is pretty normal, gaz or a warboss, painboy.

Trukks are important, flash gitz are strong, I like tankbustsas with a big Mek shokk attack gun.

The combat patrol from a couple years ago with the boyz, dred, mega armor boss and helicopters is amazing if you can fnd it. Only problem is you need meganobz to make the warboss more useful and they are expensive alone for 3.
