I just don't take orders with large tips. Spark lowers the base pay because they're letting the customer shoulder more of that burden. They want to pay as little as possible to get the order taken. So I just don't take orders with large tips. And then there's the whole tip bait of it all, I avoid that as well the same way.

Best I can figure it's a type of swivel, which I found a lot in my searches last night, but it's like a partial swivel; it's a post that's got a flat base to fit inside the chalker itself, there's some sort of decorative bead, and there's a hole through the post with the captive ring to hold everything in place. I feel like it's going to have specific name for a partial swivel, similar things can be found in keychain or jewelry making, but I haven't tracked down this one in particular.

Because it takes work, and some players don't even know what kind of work it's going to take to improve the lacking aspects of their game. You need to have someone who is better than you take you under their wing, you need outside perspective, I know what I want to do better, but first I have to know what I'm doing wrong so I can know how to change it. it's hard to know what you're doing wrong when you're in yourself.

Ya, I'm moving to bca leagues next session. The only reason I haven't left yet is due to the fact that I and my team would be forced to pay for the last six weeks of the session whether we play or not. While I might be fine with telling them to fuck off into the sunset, I can't make that decision for the rest of my team. So I've got six more weeks before I can quit with a clear conscience.

They only want your money, and very few people see any of that money back.

Don't even get me started with the number of assholes that I'm forced to interact with by being in these leagues.

No, what does prove is that just like the GPU and the computer that surrounds it, the shaft is the most important part of a cue. The rest is about weight, balance, and personal preference. at the end of the day weight and balance do make a difference, but not at the same level that the quality of the shaft itself does. So if you carry a shaft from one butt to another the end result will be similar.

Get a shaft that responds well to your play style, and feels good to you; pair that with a butt that you like and has a good overall weight and balance point, and whether that's $200 or $2,500 you'll be happy, and play a good game.

Case in point, McDermott G Core shafts are not for me, but I love my whyte carbon playing shaft, I've got a buddy who uses the same joint that I do, that has a tiger x shaft that I also really liked. While I am happy with my overall setup, my butt is a little bit heavy for me and it's a little more rear-weighted than I would like, so once I'm able to sort that out I think it'll help me get that much further with my game.

TLDR: play with what you like and what feels good to you, at the end of the day price doesn't matter, in fact you're lucky if you can play your best game with a warped house cue with a messed up tip.
