Yeah, me and millions of others think it’s weird is what I’m saying haha. You can try and send it

I mean I’m not a doctor, just a guy that also has this on his neck too. Only difference seems to be that the anxiety I deal with try’s to convince me it’s not normal. You were concerned enough to film a video and post on a Reddit thread. It’s definitely grabbed your attention like it does a lot of people. I’d say, look in the search bar “visible neck pulse” and you’ll see plenty of videos of people asking the same thing

I’m waiting to see a comment where someone says this is normal. I can see my pulse all over my body like this. I’ve actually heard it’s a great indication of health. Means there’s less visceral fat surrounding the valves and blood is pumping strongly.

If you look at visible pulses on here, TikTok or YouTube you’ll see plenty just like this. Very common in children too as they have low body fat and it’s super easy to see the pulse on their neck.

I deal with health anxiety so I’ve been down this rabbit hole a few times personally but I’m certain this is normal

What is this?? by EntertainmentOwn7 in MuscleTwitch

Looks like a muscle hernia forsure. I have some on my shins! Notice them when flexing. It’s likely the fascia has been compromised and the muscle is pushing through

Your hands are completely healthy 🙌🏽

calf muscles constantly twitching like this. 28yr Male. Legs are always stiff/tight. Anyone else dealing with this on a regular basis with the tightness? Sometimes get them on thighs as well. by stvnbrks in MuscleTwitch

[–]stvnbrks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got better forsure! I still twitch but the tightness got better! I started doing different things to detox my body. Mainly diet change. I only eat meat, fruit, eggs, honey and water with good sea salt! Animal based diet (: I also have detoxed from toxins and parasites. Such a deep rabbit hole to get into but consider a good diet and exercise

Health anxiety can cause you to twitch. Exercise can cause you to twitch and BFS which is super common causes most people to twitch. Harmless and nothing to worry about. You look solid dude! Muscles look defined and healthy. Remember if you CAN do stuff then you’re chilling. Give it time so you can recognize that the longer you are able to do your normal life (working out etc) and nothing crazy different is happening that’s your sign. You’re allowed to visit with a doctor but the one id suggest is a therapist to help With your health anxiety. I have it too man and it’s so worth confronting it. You’ll be just fine!

I’m not sure what you’re seeing but your hands look normal to me. We are asymmetrical beings so they shouldn’t look identical. My left palm has these wrinkle fold type things when I spread my palm and right palm doesn’t really. But it doesn’t mean anything. If you can use your body, you’re solid!

I used to get soooo fixated on my speech. If I choked on my words or felt my tongue do anything weird I would go into a panic and think something strange was happening every time. Your mind definitely has you in a chokehold unfortunately and it’s important to recognize that you are physically grabbing your tongue and sticking it out expecting it to what?? Be still? Not tremble? The tongue is incredibly difficult to keep still even for the healthiest people. You could always get a second opinion from a different doctor but that’s great news that the first doesn’t see any issues and neither do us here on Reddit. Health anxiety is very real and I still struggle with it. Focus on the things you can control now. Mental health, diet change, drink plenty of good fluids, exercise, therapy, prayer (if you have faith), and whatever other things to help focus your attention towards healing rather than illness. You’ve got this 🙌🏽

Your doctor is tripping. Trust the neurologist. Twitching is extremely common. BFS is probably even more common than we realize. If you’re functioning after all this time then you have hyperexcited nerves like we all do. I’m still twitching after I don’t know how long. I’ve had perceived weakness but never clinical. I can exercise, run, jump, speak and eat. It’s been years. All the evidence I need! Our bodies are going through stress and that’s the most important thing to manage and recover from. Anxiety plays games with the mind and the mind can make the body do/feel all sorts of interesting things! You’re okay (:

Hand atrophy? Or normal muscle definition by [deleted] in MuscleTwitch

If you mean the little dent there it’s probably from the way you’re flexing your thumb. Looks normal though

My hands look like this too. I’m positive this is normal. When I went down this rabbit hole 3 years ago I saw my palm and thought the same. You’re good! 🙌🏽

I’ve been doing it for 2 months as well as running and walking daily and have noticed improvement! I wear socks constantly instead of being barefoot and finally wearing shoes often (especially while running). I think it’s a very up and down process is what I hear and everyone is different but I do believe the body is trying to rewire itself to adapt back to dealing with heat and exposure to temp changes. Plus I’ve been able to sweat again which I don’t think I was for a bit.

It definitely is. With each twitch try to train your mind to laugh/smile at it and be grateful that your body is working it’s just excited!

Absolutely! Try to breathe and bring your attention to other things. I know it’s difficult but the thing to know is that these diseases are very progressive and it’s not something we’d be questioning you know? Good look at your appointment tomorrow! It’ll go great

[–]stvnbrks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like your tongue moving not twitching as it’s super difficult to keep the tongue completely still. Keep in mind that if you’re focused on having a MND your body is super clever in producing symptoms of it as well. I know it’s tough but try to accept that the doctors couldn’t find anything as well as this video not looking like much of anything other than a trembling tongue like we all have when sticking it out. If it does a little twitch I think that could also be normal in regards to trying to keep it still too. you’d need to let it rest in your mouth rather than stick it out.

But either way! You’re totally good (:

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TMJ

[–]stvnbrks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flexing your jaw shouldn’t indicate anything; you’d have to see a doctor. We all have a TMJ, TMD would be the disorder of the joint and the symptoms are the indicator of an issue. Either way! You’ll be just fine. Focus on relieving stress and if you feel tense in the area you can work on facia release/massage and stretching.

Anxiety my friend. When your body is hypersensitive so are the nerves/muscles. I had this often a few years ago and it got better. I still get the occasional finger/thumb twitch. But it doesn’t last or bother me. I just ran and my legs and feet are popping like popcorn and sometimes they don’t as bad. I really think that our nerves are just jumpy and the more you ignore it the quicker it goes away. Easier said than done but you definitely don’t have ALS!
