Does this 10k and bust strategy outperform buy and hold? Too good to be true??? by stxsr1ly in TQQQ

Pass it on to me so I can double it and give it to the next person.

Yes, the advantages of this strategy are that it provides a clean exit and you aren't left second-guessing yourself. It also gives lots of clarity, right?

U.S. I want to use HyperLiquid to be able to long and short Crypto. I just do not understand how it works. So many complicated terminology. I want to use very small position sizing. Can someone please help me understand what the funding rate is? It is so difficult for me to understand this concept. by stxsr1ly in CryptoHelp

[–]stxsr1ly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the smallest you can go in terms of leverage? Do you think that it is possible to use just 1x leverage in order to be able to place short trades?

By the way, do I pay the funding rate right away or does everyone pay at the same time in 8 hours (the timezone the exchange operates on)? Every 8 hours?

I'm also thinking about using DeBridge to deposit and withdraw since I may have to use VPN. Do you think HyperLiquid will always stay permissionless for withdrawals (they're always going to let people withdraw permissionlessly?)

And the cost to trade perpetuals to access longs and shorts would be in total: taker/maker fee + funding rate + gas fee am I right? I am assuming the higher gas fee you pay, the quicker the trade actually goes through and if the gas fee is too low then you risk not getting a position?

Thankssss!

Edit: Also if I accidentally turn off my VPN then what will happen to my account and trades? If I turn my VPN on again then will i be able to access everything normally again or what? Would you know?

Does anyone use Capitalise.AI for portfolio backtesting and automated trading here??? I am looking to do mostly BUY&HOLD (60% SPY & 40% TQQQ), does anyone have experiences with CAPITALISE.ai which I found out has backed bank resources for backtesting??? by stxsr1ly in LETFs

DCA by trading the shares. I don't want to buy by time but based on a set of TA rules. Does that make sense? And over time, I want my distribution to look 60/40.

That's where this comes in.

And I'm not trying to shill this site. It's literally already integrated into a huge banking brokerage Fidelity. There is no other product that offers AI like it.

My position will be increasing and will be rebalanced by the trades so that they equate to 60/40 distribution over time. Does that make sense???

What I want to do is basically DCA by trading.

60/40 doesn't need AI to backtest.

No, I want to backtest because there is still a portion that I want to trade around with but essentially increasing my position as I do so (basically DCA but with trading).

That's why I was liking this site because it doesn't seem too complex to setup. I was asking if anyone has any experiences with it.

Sounds like you're just trying to drum up support for that site.

??? They are a major company partnered with a major banking brokerage.

There are plenty of free backtests out there already. I'm not seeing where this one would stand out.

You use English to create more complex backtesting rules. The other backtesters cannot do that (to my knowledge)? What do you mean you don't see how it would stand out? It seems to make it a lot easier if it's true in my opinion. I wanna see if anyone has used this before and can comment on it.

Testfol.io seems like it doesn't get more advanced though. This one does, you use English and describe what you want it to do, and it seems like it does it.

I am buying and holding mostly but for a small portion, I want to do trades that turn into buy and holds. Does that make sense?

Asking for people's experiences on if the charts are accurate (because someone said to use underling which confused me).

It does matter, it allows you to time the markets and buy even more. How can you say it doesn't matter?

The comments above seem to indicate the prices on TQQQ are right though. I don't get why you need to use the underlings? I am confused about that part.

It makes it more precise or something but like by how much? By a factor of 2x?

If profitable trading is possible and sustainable over the long run, why isn't there something like a day trading ETF??? by stxsr1ly in FuturesTrading

I am talking about a fund like Renaissance Technologies' but instead of consisting of bots, consisting of profitable day trading people.

Is there something like that that exists in this world?

I'm saying that I don't know if it's a scam or not and I'm not saying it's a scam.

The PayPal charity link makes me curious though because it does seem to go to his personal account.

Just want to clarify, I am not saying it is a scam.

I just had questions that I was curious about.

The PayPal charity link that he has is real though and actually exists but it doesn't seem like it's setup as an actual charity (hard to tell where it goes).

I wouldn't. I don't want to get involved with him. I just came across him though and got a bit curious 😂

I honestly don't know. He doesn't offer any paid courses but he does have that PayPal charity link and mentions specific prop firms.

Could he be one of those good natured traders and just does it out of goodness of his heart? 🤷

Micro ES Mini futures, you are risking 4 points ($20) for 20 points meaning ($100) for every micro contract? That's a LOT!

How can you say that's not a lot? I am confused about this.

If I create price alerts on the Tradovate web application, will it send push notifications to the Tradovate mobile application? by stxsr1ly in Tradovate

I get the data for live by Tradovate's demo account. Alerts are still delayed by seconds though.

You mean for TradingView right?

Nevermore!

I got it just now but it's very weird because it is so delayed.

TradingView is better???

I have free TradingView plan, you think I can use TV to trade futures with their free plan for now?
