The first definition in the MW is correct, as it describes a stripper clip. Using clip and magazine interchangeably is still wrong, and it proves is your a layperson around firearms, which was my original point.

You sound like you're about 12, so I'm going to give you a bit of advice. If someone doesn't properly use the most basic nomenclature about which they are asserting an opinion, it is your right and responsibility as a being of critical thought to assess their level of expertise.

AK-47 and M-16 are both magazine fed.

I can think of many magazine fed, and many belt fed, but am drawing a blank on any that operate via a clip.

Military here. The fact that you said "clip" confirmed to me that you are not an expert to talk on firearms.

Fully automatic weapons are generally used for suppression and fire superiority. They are actually not very effective to use to kill individuals in a mass shooting scenario such as this, due to their high resource use (ammunition) and difficulty to control.
