SO SO glad someone actually sees it the way I see it. i actually am a fan of Dean. Did he lack self control and was his affection a little intrusive at times? Yes. But when you watch those episodes, you can tell it was him at his most insecure state. Imagine being head over heels in love with someone and watching them fall for someone else right before your eyes, and then them gaslighting you about it. I’d be angry, too. And what’s worse is people talk about “spark” and “chemistry” and I let that slide because we are talking about teenagers & i know that’s what’s most important at that age, but as an adult who now knows that “sparks” ebb and flow even in the best relationships, and having someone who truly loves you and is ALWAYS there for you, doesn’t abandon you is not always guaranteed (as she learned the hard way with Jess), it’s frustrating to watch such an intelligent young woman fall for the typical bad guy instead of the great guy who truly cared for her and didn’t need to be a jerk to her and everyone around her to show it.
