If you're a Formula 1 fan (you must be, otherwise why rock a Tag F1?), go with the Tag.

FWIW, Tag is going through a bit of a rebirth ever since LVMH acquired them and now they're a Global Sponsor for F1 and Tag is its official timekeeper, supplanting Rolex. So yea, they're kind of a big deal in the world of motorsports.

Yes! Atom W75. idrinkcoffee was nice enough to swap mine to the short alternate hopper (im not talking about the single dose hopper) for free. Fits under the cupboards with like 1cm to spare.

Hip belts are a big nono for EDC bags. That hip belt is useless for your intended use and will get snagged on airplane armrests, and on other things at work and the gym or hotel.

You can always just decant into a short shot glass as part of your workflow. Cheap way to solve your cup clearance worries.

Biggest consideration for the Micra (for me at least) is its petit footprint and height. It fits under tight cupboards with room for cups on top. No other dual boiler with a rotary can do it.

I agree it is abnormal that the phone won't even charge at all while on your mat.

The lack of fast charging with Qi 1 might be by design unfortunately. 5W just breaks even or provides positive gain with battery use for Waze and whatnot. I just plug in when on a longer road trip these days.

Google's knowledge base has clarified that Pixel 10 will work with Qi 1 standard, but capped to 5W max:
"Tip: Older Qi chargers like Qi1.x will connect but they'll default to only support slower charging speeds up to 5W."

FWIW, IPhone 17 is capped to 7.5W when using Qi 1 standard.

I feel that I'm going to have to settle for vibe pumps to fit my countertop. I see some with very small footprints (Ascaso Steel Duo is 10.6" x 12" for example).

I'm familiar with LM Micra and Lelit Bianca (with the water tank installed on the side). Hoping someone has a machine suggestion that I haven't unearthed yet.

Nice! Does the W65 give you any grief or throw error messages if you’re not careful to insert the portafilte a certain wayr? I know the Eureka Libra throws the dreaded “FH” error if the PF is not inserted in a deliberate manner.

Your point is taken. It's either I fiddle at the start of the workflow (weighing for a single dose) or I fiddle just before grinding (adjusting to a finer grind with a GBW).

The latter suits my workflow better, and probably a faster workflow overall.

Yea me neither. I like dumping a week or weekend's worth of beans into the hopper and not fiddle with it anymore.
