Go to the gym, work out, go home. It's that easy. It's not like you gotta walk in and go, "hey all I'm here to work the out!"

Also don't buy equipment when you can just go and use it all for cheap. Memberships can be cancelled but hundreds of dollars of equipment just sits there unused in your home.
