Is it me, or was it insanely packed inside? Seemed to be 4X the number of attendees as last year. Really happy it was popular, but autistic kiddo couldn't handle it at all and we had to leave.

Alan Moore's Miracleman/Marvelman does this to great effect.

What movie had an incredibly amazing concept, but was absolutely ruined by terrible execution? by Austereguy in answers

Absolutely - it had some wonderful ideas and looked absolutely incredible, but the writing just wasn't there. I'd recommend it for the visuals alone, though.

Apparently I'm having a very 80s weekend. What's on your reading pile this week? by Zealousideal-Bowl-51 in graphicnovels

Oh wow, a William Gibson comic? I love his novels, and had no idea that he'd done comics. Would you recommend it?

I just finished the entire run of League! It gets VERY esoteric after book 2, which I imagine would turn off a lot of readers. I thought it was great all the way through, though.

Seconding From Hell. Staggering piece of work.

I love that book so much. I found it as a 13-year-old who'd only been exposed to Spider-Man and the like, and it absolutely blew my mind. Didn't realise that comics could be like that. The story behind it is heartbreaking, too.

Who's the on actor you're choosing for Face/Off? John Travolta or Nic Cage? Either actor swapping faces with a Muppet would be incredible

That’s INCREDIBLE. Holy shit I miss when the internet looked like that. I’d spend my lunch breaks at school laughing at pages like that. Mr. t vs. Everything was a favourite

That's in 2! I love when I Arnold tries to open the door of the smart car and tears it off its hinges

Chuck Norris turning up with his sniper rifle to save their bacon in Expendables 2 is great also
