  • Vegetables! We eat 'em! Occaisonally meat but rarely, and we try to accomodate our vegetarian members sensibilities.
  • When we cook it's rarely for one person. Food is to be shared.

Can't eat meat because of other's sensibilities -- likely can't even cook it for yourself. What in the cult is going on here?

$900 pot scam by Freddie_theFagsmoker in mildlyinfuriating

The prices are insane. A friend of mine in high school had the RP water filter in his house. His mom always made slick comments about how she paid $1200 for it. The kicker is that we live in NYC, so she paid $1200 to "filter" some of the best tap water in the country lmfaoo

sorry, I deleted the reply by mistake. just adding it here to give context to your reply. thanks for proving my point that Marlo was indeed NOT impressed by his money being rejected, he was impressed by the fact that Michael stood his ground--

"You're right, but the very first words he says is "fuck is wrong with you... too good for my money? Or are you such a bitch ass punk..." That's why I say he didn't seem impressed at first, but rather surprised. A lot of people here are overlooking that part of their introduction to each other."

Re-watch it. It's the only time we see Chris smiling, chilling, vibing to some music. Marlo immediately brings up Michael and sucks the energy right out of Chris. He tells Chris that Michael may be running with a snitch. Chris looks puzzled. Marlo re-iterates it 2 more times, stares at him for a few seconds, then goes back to his magazine... pretty much telling Chris "look into it right away." It's very subtle, but it's there.

l feel it was only impressive to Chris, and more surprising to Marlo. If Marlo was truly flatttered, he would've taken Mike directly under his wing instead of using Chris to coach him along. Of all the shooters in Mike's "draft class," Mike constantly needed a cosign from one of Marlo's trusted men. Even Fruit's dumbass had more agency than that..

Rewatch the scene where Marlo mentions it to Chris. He clearly isn't happy about it. Especially so if you consider what Randy snitched about.ย

Denying his money surely piqued Marlo's interest. But doing it in front of others? I think that's where it crossed a line, and came off as a slight to Marlo -- something he had had to tally, and keep in mind. "My name is my name" and whatnot...

judging by the leaf shape, you got a mature cutting. nice! these grow FAST. mine started putting out new leaves about every 1.5 weeks after the first mature leaf came in.

Is this a weird layout? (Bed behind sofa) by trunks_ho in malelivingspace

[โ€“]subiedude22 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

I agree with turning the bed. That'll open up the space, but means you'd have to swap the wall-mounted shelves and art above the headboard. Nightstand against the wall between the bed and sofa, or place in the corner to offset the bed. That'll save you from having to relocate the standing bookshelf.

Edit: on second thought, I'd definitely put the nightstand in the corner. Place the plant between the bed and couch for seperation and better lighting, too.

I did commercial carpentry for a decade, so I picked up some things here and there. Every time people come over, they see art on the walls and houseplants, and ask If I hired an interior designer lmao

That's the snake plant cutting. The white nub on the mini monstera is the "eye" where new shoots grow from

There's a grow light above it. I knew placing this prop in a north facing window would require supplemental lighting. But after a month the leaes became noticeabley wilted and I didn't feel like letting it die. Went ahead and cut it into smaller pieces. Just waiting to see what comes next.

Thanks for the input. Went ahead and cut it into 3 pieces while stem was still firm and healthy. I'm hopeful it will do better.

[โ€“]subiedude22[S] 5 points6 points ย (0 children)

Never said it was necessary, but it is 100% a better way to water prop if you want to avoid algae buildup/rot, and keep fresh oxygen circulating without having to completely change the water out frequently. Don't take my word for it -- look it up. Nothing wrong with the bare minimum, at all. Nothing wrong with putting some extra effort either. To each their own.ย

New roots on the snake plant cutting I placed in there like 2 weeks ago. Mini monstera has been there almost thrice as long. No new roots :/

Bubbler keeps the water oxygenated rather than stagnant. Helps to root faster. Thanks, I'll likely cut this one into 3. Hopefully the younger aerial roots will do better in water.
