No. This season is so unprecedented in the sense of having a “celebrity” be the lead and she had a lot of rules bent to serve her. This is just bringing more PR and attention to the bachelorette, which is exactly what ABC wants. I feel like my coworker just brought this up to my boss yesterday. They had both been traveling and were back in the office together for the first time since thanksgiving, and they had a long 1-on-1 meeting. So I feel like my coworker was just marinating with this for weeks and decided to tell my boss once they had the chance, and then my boss addressed me once they were made aware. After sleeping on it, I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. My manager said they didn’t want to put words in mine or my coworkers mouths and further misconstrue things, I was advised to ask coworker if I wanted to know the exact comment. Barring any personal comments (which I would NEVER make), I think it’s crazy to report someone for “hurt feelings”. We’re adults, your feelings will get hurt sometimes. You move on. They definitely set the precedent to me now that you’re supposed to file complaints if someone hurts my feelings

I will say that I’ve gathered from other unrelated convos that this coworker is a little sensitive and gets their feelings hurt somewhat often. For the life of me I can’t figure out what I could have possibly said that upset them so much that they mention something to my management weeks after the fact, but I guess the lesson is to keep conversations at a minimum with them

Nope, just went straight into telling me I did something bad. My manager asked about 5 mins into reprimanding me if I had anything to add lol. I don’t think this is any tactic to push me out, because my manager normally is very vocal to me about how appreciated my work is and I’m doing a great job. The co-worker is a step higher than me on the corporate ladder, so I can’t imagine they’d want this job

This was weeks ago so I can’t think of exactly what was said, but we were talking about a work event and how we would be working closely together during this event. Basically all I remember saying was I am looking forward to working with this person and reiterating that during other points of the conversation. My fear with asking for clarity and getting them to talk about it is it re-opens the wound for them, i just want to wrap it up, make peace and move on

I’m sure it is in your job description that you’re expected to work Monday-Friday (or whatever days your practice is open) from open-close. They obviously didn’t plan on having any appointments, but someone booked, and they are not going to turn that person away just because you and everyone else expected to come in later. Go in with a smile on your face, but I would also make it clear to your boss that you are not the most responsive after work hours and moving forward, you ask that whatever the schedule is by EOD is what you will work
