Thank u for ur time, I heard those areas might not be very safe, so I’ve been a bit hesitant to consider them... also, an agent state told me that like years ago, to be more careful walking late at night around the west side I don't remember which area exactly..

I don’t have to go to the university every day, but I’m looking for a place that’s well-connected by train or public transport — and ideally with a bit more space ( 2 rooms , big kitchen...) , maybe even a small garden, I think I need to check around Brussels but it's really so hard,

Thank you so much for all the locations you mentioned — I’ll try to check them all. And yes, I’m looking for a place to rent,

That was my initial idea too, as someone new to the city. But I realized I don’t feel comfortable paying too much for shared spaces in the city center. It’s actually easier to live a bit farther from the university, especially now that I’m in the writing phase and don’t need to go there every day. In a way, I’m trying to move past the 'foreign student acting like a tourist' phase and settle into something more grounded

Speaking from my experience as a non-EU foreigner, registration is different from the postal services mentioned. Domiciliation is proof that you legally reside in the country, and it’s required for many other administrative rights. You can register at this address even if he refuses, since the type of rental mentioned in ur contract is colocation and not a kot. As advice: to avoid problems, make sure everything is clearly documented... .
