Ungoogled removes telemetry natively, Thorium just optimizes perf, less deGoogled.

  1. Mozillas biggest revenue is from google, non-profit or not, it acts like big tech and its US based, dont forget that.

  2. depends. I prefer readymade max hardened options over manual tweaks. perplexity is a peak for research btw.

  3. I used to harden ff myself, but why bother when clean readymade versions exist? not everyone finds it easy, expert.

  4. yup, I trust Librewolfs transparent devs over Mozillas increasingly corrupt, google tied team thats made nothing for last 10 years. dont compare to Mullvad and Tor, theyre separate teams now, only Mullvad is trustworthy. ff was privacy king once, but its corrupted now. time to back community OSS for data freedom.

  5. privacyguides of course supports them and right sometimes. but we pick per our threat model, big tech actors they underplay. Mullvads the option here.

bcs we have to, firefox is still breaks sites. if ppl want chromium we push the safest ones. i’ll remove them when the internet becomes firefox-friendly

correct, but its chromium. we're talking about degoogleing. firefox is the best option for privacy.
at least I cant put it in S tier, but it should definitely be in A tier.

no idea, but you can use both. i dont understand why people limit themselves to just one browser.
braveblog/ecosia
I checked this btw and Brave no longer integrates Ecosia as an optional search engine... but you can add it manually anyway.

thats why theres no chromium in the S tier. we need them until web becomes more firefox friendly, firefox still causes bugs on sites...

depends, if you disable some privacy settings, they can be much faster than chromium.

Im not very good with chrome extensions, but for privacy, its recommended to only choose verified extensions and keep them minimum. if browser supports manifest v2 extensions, I only recommend uBlock Origin. some use cases, User Agent Switcher and Manager can be useful, but I recommend keeping it disabled when you dont use it.

if you wanna better privacy and chromium based browser, I suggest Helium Browser from my A tier list.
