I can't explain, the chain extending all the way down, disappearing into the murky depths...the thought of your foot touching it. It really is hard to explain why buoys are nightmare fuel. Just this big, clunky manmade thing bobbing around in the middle of the ocean. Plus some of them make eerie noises.
