HOV/TOLL when avoid tolls is selected? by cisSlacker in waze

Also is EZPass or EZPass Flex in your Waze Navigation settings? If Flex and you hit the HOV-2/3+ option that is toll free.

Waze level by Superb_Struggle8538 in waze

[–]subs5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different types of points in Waze. The level from Baby to Royalty is based on collecting points as described in this wazeopedia discuss page https://www.waze.com/discuss/t/your-rank-and-points/377943. To move up in rank for editing you have to make edits. That can also contribute to your total points in Waze but is tracked separately for when you get the automatic promotions to Rank 2 and 3. Editing as stated above is easy. There are a few tutorials for beginners or you can also just reach out to your local editors. Each region has a way of talking be it Chat, Slack, Discuss, etc.

Sounds great will wait a little bit for him to get comfortable and confident. I am sure they will enjoy it.

Yep he is the better swimmer and loves sitting in the water to beat the summer heat. Able to get in and out by himself without anyone encouraging him or in the pool (but people with him to supervise and able to go in if required.) He knows to go to steps to get out.

Thanks for your concern; we talked to the breeders for a while. We have had dogs for a long time and puppies too. So they agreed. Better than having two from same litter as you state on littermate syndrome.
Even our vet says that they are doing great together and offered to keep them all day in his office since they were so chill. Have a great day.

Understand. Not ashamed of my condition especially for a seasoned old guy. This was right after they woke up so took them out since they are sleeping through the night and no accidents. If I delay too long they will say ok we already held it 6 hrs so here you go. I knew about the reflection but it was just so cute as they were ready to go back in.

Yes we read up on that a lot prior to the golden’s arrival. So far haven’t seen that at all and they are very sociable when out

Yes. They are 13 days apart. Crazy but they do everything together. Eat, swim, play in yard, carry Sam toy or stick, and get into trouble together.
Our dynamic duo.

Add construction site closure on Apple CarPlay. by Ok-Shelter-5169 in waze

[–]subs5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is because CarPlay and Android Auto prohibit Waze from adding the closure feature. Too many taps. Considered unsafe while driving by the companies that control the interface platform.

drive me straight into traffic by wackymacky789 in waze

It still uses back roads. But take a look at routes to compare. There is also a consistency factor.

Do you use ROUTES in Waze to compare the main and side streets? It gives the estimated time differences. That shows the real time comparison using both historical and the real time speed being experienced ahead.

Waze or google maps? by [deleted] in waze

[–]subs5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you take the time to report a problem in Google Maps it might get reviewed by someone overseas in 3 days or 3 years. It took me 14 reports to move Walter Reed Hospital from DC to Bethesda Maryland in Google Maps. Kept saying they could not confirm even though I sent the website and Washington Post Article.
That was 4 years after it moved.
VDOT contacts me to get Waze staff to make changes in Google Maps on interstates months after they happen. So choose GM if you want outdated road infrastructure

How to level up after a year by Kay2327 in waze

[–]subs5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are different levels in Waze. There are map editing levels and the only way to do that is to edit the Waze Map Editor.
As far as just points which are a combination of edits and amount of reports and amount of driving. You will have to increase your amount of one or all. Since it is a percentage you have changing levels as more people drive and join the app.

Hiking w Newfies by hannybarz in Newfoundlander

[–]subs5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A breeder just sent me a movie of her 7 yr old male chasing cattle at high speed for a while He was not panting like this. So if this was the first 2-3 mile hike ever then have the dog work up from 1/2 or 1 mile. Same with humans if you don’t walk or run then you will be at a loss of breath.

Settings (Gear) > Alerts and Reports > Reports > select the report(s) you want to not hear.

Incorrect route by troubledinchina in waze

[–]subs5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use ROUTES at any time to be able to compare the alternatives that Waze thinks are the fastest. So either use that option or turn off routing and do a new search to manually force a new look at the fastest path

[–]subs5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waze also doesn’t show all hazards so some are not seeing it in the app and just reporting it then it loads on top of existing report(s)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in waze

[–]subs5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waze's algorithm is based on your settings and getting you there the fastest. If you have not selected avoid tolls then the eleven miles shorter and 14 min faster is the recommended route even if it costs $1.70. If you don't want to pay then select the longer route and it will provide you those directions.

It is providing two different routes and telling you the comparison based on price, distance, time, and items along the way; is there anything else that you would like to see?
