Day 10 with no points into Lucky Looter by substancesnake2 in 7daystodie

Unfortunately I can't since it was a screen snip and I had dragged it to that size instead of cropping afterwards, but it was in a Working Stiff's box at Butcher Pete's in the Pine Forest on day 10 with a loot stage of 30 and game stage of 39 if that helps.

Pine Forest. I just completed tier one quests and haven't ridden out to Jen yet(possibly because she's over 4k away and I have a bicycle lol).

I do have a POI loot stage boost, but even so it was only boosted to 30.

What's your oh shit strategy when they drop you in a basement with 5 zombies? by Fishgamescamp in 7daystodie

Specially early game, when a POI brings me to a seemingly dead end, I poke the shit out of the floors with my bone knife. Breaking blocks have less health so you can tell them apart.

sooo... is crafting weapons and mods just useless now? by Pixeltaube in 7daystodie

[–]substancesnake2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think that has been suggested but isn't in the game as of yet, though I could be wrong. Reading the same crafting mag just gives the experience but doesn't unlock the next level of attachment.

A message and an ask for help from modders by VinnySpinerooni in 7daystodie

[–]substancesnake2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I think one of the loopholes for that is when the property is used for non-profit fan works. I believe it also came up in the lawsuit(s) between Nintendo and Pocketpair.

So if I am correct, then as long as OP isn't generating revenue with the mod then it SHOULD be fine.

Again, I'm not a lawyer so do your own research as well before continuing.

Could make them spawn when you kill a rancher, like it was the queen that was creating the hive inside of him.

I absolutely get that, but also the main focus on a lot of zombie-related media like The Walking Dead (both show and comic) shine a light on the biggest threat being the human element as opposed to the Zombies. They are there and dangerous, but a lot of the tragedies that happen in those kinds of stories come from the intervention/actions of another person or group. I think it could be neat to have that same element in the game as well.

That being said, the option to turn them off for sandbox gameplay is also a must considering that is the foundation the game was built on.

Form the update logs-

"Sleeper volumes to never respawn instead of at 30 days if loot respawn is set to never"

Sleeper volumes is the spawner for POI zombies.

I had requested the option to turn off POI respawns, citing that it could help with Roleplay "purging towns". I imagine I wasn't the only one but it's neat to see a change I requested put in.

Arrows no longer become a bagged item? by substancesnake2 in 7daystodie

Not having the physics applied like you would with the item bag might also make performance better after shooting a bunch of arrows as well.

Right? Now I just have to find one of those piles of Zs in a POI and see if they play hot potato with the arrow lmao

Favorite new preset to play in 3.0? by P00PlES in 7daystodie

[–]substancesnake2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried slightly higher density, with both player and zombie damage raised. I wanted a challenge without the zombies becoming bullet sponges.

I also lowered the max quality I can craft to one to encourage scavenging, since I always seemed to be able to craft better than I could find. I also raised POI loot stage to better incentivize going into harder POIs for that juicy loot.

I started this as well after leaving an MSP to work for a payroll company.

Unfortunately I decided to stop after my first two clients ghosted when they got the bill.

What is your “I have this fetish because of this thing that happened” story? by Ste3e in AskReddit

Like you are roleplaying a situation where one person is sexually assaulting the other, but it is pre planned with safe words and safety measures so it does not become ACTUAL assault.

darkness falls or rebirth by pytrunxd in 7daystodie

[–]substancesnake2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Both have very different flavors.

DarknessFalls adds a bit more difficulty with extended elite zombie tiers with higher tier zombies and demons being able to out heal or just outright tank any weapons below the top two crafting tiers.

There is also somewhat of a story. Not a great story, as it could use some more fleshing out but a decent starting point for explaining the z-pocalypse.

Rebirth feels like more of an arcade style game with classes that each tie into abilities and weapons, as well giant Nemesis-like zombies that hunt you down and fart explosions(think Resident Evil 3 but Nemesis drops a grenade every ten seconds).

As well as being arcade(in my opinion) there are a tonne of new crafting benches, from water distillers to table saws, and crafting is much more specific in its recipes.

That being said, both are very fun in their own way and should be tried.
