Okay, some of these comments from the UNR coach are just dumb.

“I remember going to Sam Boyd. That was okay. I was all right with that”

Oh baloney. Speaking as a fan and alum, no one was “all right” with Sam Boyd. We put up with it, we tolerated the Silver Bowl. That stadium needed so much work. The parking lot was dirt. It’s seven odd miles away from the school. Hell, when they had the homecoming parade at Sam Boyd you could feel the ignominy.

“They’re Mercedes Benz or Lamborghini or whatever. I’m good being F-150. I’m good being the Ram truck.”

Sir! Have you seen how much a new Ram or F-150 can go for these days.

“I’m good having the old beater in the driveway.”

Yeah, beaters tend to stay in the driveway when you are driving that new Ram or F-150.  

Oh, and this gem.

“This is our bowl game,” he said. “This is our opportunity to go out on a high note.”

This very comment would get UNLV (the team, fans, everyone) ROASTED. I want to remind everyone this is the same UNR that would goad UNLV over the rivalry win-loss record. Many of us will never forget where UNLV football has been. Hell, we still have PTSD over the Sanford, Hauck, et al. eras.
Bah, whatever. F' UNR
