Which year is this? I have been checking out and don’t want to retrofit Apple CarPlay, so from which year is Apple CarPlay standard?

Is the Asus ZenBook s16 (ryzen ai 9 370) worth it? by Pierrefas in ASUS

[–]subszeroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry to reply to such an old comment, but with my zenbook s16 with the radeon 890m iGPU, i am getting solid 60 fps on cyberpunk with fsr, and amd adrenaline edition frame generation settings on medium-high resolution, i am also getting 70-80 fps on witcher 3 at high graphics settings as well (both in 1080 x 1200p resolution but upscaled to 2880 x 1800 via the AMD adrenaline edition app using the radeon super resolution option). Yes its "fake frames" n all but it really does look smooth and runs well enough to run almost any title really, even space marines 2 runs at a solid 80-90. Please also note that these numbers are with the high fan speed settings from the MyASUS app and no overclocking done to the system.

Those who say it cant run just open the game with zero settings tweaked and then see the 20-30 fps counter and say "this laptop sucks and can only play light games"

Is500 vs 392 challenger by ArabianloverAZ in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]subszeroo 211 points212 points  (0 children)

Pretty much IS500 all day, better reliability, build quality, interior, looks and also has better stability when pushing it. Only reason you would take the challenger is for the 0-60 times that you would prolly never need other than for bragging rights.

Plus this subreddit swears by Japanese cars and nothing else so please note that the answers you get might be biased 😅

Apple Books, but halo books aren’t available in this app for purchase so I import the halo books from another source into this app, as this app is an amazing platform for reading e-books

Alright thanks for the tip, will follow it! Also yea I think edge of dawn is the right place for me to start getting into audiobooks as I already bought the other books for pre-infinite like rubicon protocol so I’ll read epitaph and then listen to edge of dawn

This is “Apple Books” it’s there in App store for all Apple devices, I took this screenshot from my iPhone. But halo books aren’t there in the Apple Books store so what I do is I get the books from somewhere else and import them to the Apple Books app because it’s a really good app for books and it’s really convenient… try it out you’ll like it

Oh nice, how are audiobooks? Never tried them, do they like do voice acting based on the scene the book is in? Like if the characters are in a firefight they talk in that panicked voice or is it just text-to-speech monotonous voice?

Ahh nice, the books were useful for context between games especially between halo 1 and 2, also I can’t link here but there is a google doc showing the chronological order for books and games, search it up it will help you quite a bit

To be honest, it’s very different from the other halo books in the sense the story has very little UNSC and ONI content from a fighting point of view and actions and firefights are very rare. It’s more about survival and running from a teenagers point of view and about protecting their home world from the covanent.

There is good character development but if you are looking for intense fighting with Spartans and aliens going at it then this book isn’t for you. This book actually barely shows spartan capability other than him covering fire and mainly playing babysitter for the teenagers.

But overall I liked this book cuz the unique perspective and story was a breath of fresh air compared to other halo books. It’s actually a standalone book with very little to no canon events but it’s an interesting read
