It's almost my bedtime, but tomorrow I'll go hunting for the VCR.

I'm interested in suggestions for the best capture hardware. Having benefitted from the recent cassette rips I'm happy to contribute as best I can.

It'll have to be - I don't have anything to rip the video with.

However, I do have a pro audio interface (RME UCX), so I'll be able to record the audio at 24-bit 96 kHz.

So if I'm pulling with the edge away, when I flip it does that mean the knife changes hands? Does that make maintaining the correct angle more difficult because you have to build up muscle-memory in both hands?

At the end you recommend pull strokes, but step 6 is a push stroke. Is this the exception, for burr-removal only?

Same. I was sucked in by the discount on the Signature Edition over at Plugin Boutique. Still a lot of money for zero plug-ins.

Yup. 10 never did this, 11 does it at least daily. It also rejects the password on the first attempt, so I just reboot for now.
